Miter Lap Joint // QUAD Screw Vise Joinery

People have asked me, "How does the Quad Screw Vise work with joinery?" This is the start of a series of videos showing how to use the quad screw vise for joints. I love this tool...it should be in every shop! In this video, we'll be making a Miter lap joint, sometimes known as a miter half laps, mitre lap, half-lap miter joints. They're normally created with table saws or other power tools, but we're going to make one by hand!

At 01:16 why did you saw off the fill 45° segment and not just the 45° half depth?
