He was initially in a small operation that ended as soon as Walt found out about it. He had zero prospects outside of cooking and Walt blackmailed him into working with him. He couldve gone to jail or took a job spinning signs for a living for sure though

Early in season two it is revealed that Skyler used to be interested in creative writing. This is a skill that she uses several times in the series.
Wow ive watched this series since it premiered March 08, and I never noticed Season 1 setting that up
I was wondering why that was important at all. Makes sense. Anyone know why Marie's kleptomania is a thing? I think it's just to complicate her character. Also to complicate Hank, cause in season 1 we learn he smokes illegal cigars and his wife's a thief, yet he still arrested a janitor for a minor amount of weed. It parallels his and Walt's conversation about where we draw the line between legal and illegal. But idk if that's right or not
I dont feel bad for Hank that Walt tested his intelligence with the minerals because Hank always use to emasculate Walt early on in the series.

Jonathan Banks was a major character on Wiseguy, way back in 1987 -- one of the best crime dramas before the golden (Sopranos) age, with continuing storylines it was ahead of its time. Several top notch guest casts too, Ray Sharkey, Kevin Spacey, Tim Curry, Paul Winfield, David Strathairn, Jerry Lewis!
Mentioning Kevin Spacey would make me not want to watch it.

Fun fact: the trademark Heisenberg hat started off as just a method to keep Cranston's head from getting sunburnt. They worked it into the show initially as a goofy little gag for Walt to conceal his identity (same thing for the Heisenberg moniker since it's the name of the German physicist), and now it's turned into this visual metaphor for when Walt consciously allows Heisenberg to take over.
It's funny how doing things for the sake of making things easier turns it into something much deeper than it was before. If I recall, Akira Toriyama did something similar, like he cut off Goku's tail because he hated drawing it or something, but that fed so much into the future lore of the series.
The guy who plays Gale is also really good in Billions, he's a completely different character.

I am watching yours breaking bad's reactions since the start. When you guys was watching season 3, I started, again, to rewatch the show. Today, I watched episode 8 of this season. I forgot how fucking good is this show.

"Pop pop" was in the first Beverly Hills Cop. It was the first movie I ever remember him being in. He played the henchman to Victor Maitland and killed Eddie's buddy at the beginning of the movie and when Eddie found him he tore up a exclusive Club and slammed his head into a bunch of fruit and cheese. He looked like a fool in that one.

"Seinfeld" is the show to watch if you really want to spot "Breaking Bad" actors. I think it's 10 Breaking Bad actors, including Bryan Cranston (Walt), Anna Gunn (Skyler), Bob Odenkirk (Saul) and Jessica Hecht (Gretchen), who appeared on "Seinfeld". Cranston appeared five times as Tim Whatley. Freaking HILARIOUS.

Hi im from Australia and my dvd boxset of breaking bad has six seasons is this a difference between oz and the us? seasons 1-4 have 13 episodes each and seasons 5 and 6 have 8 episodes each just hoping I don't miss any loving your reactions looking forward to events coming up
The last two seasons on your boxed DVD set is actually 1 season of 16 episodes, but since there was a year in between the first 8 and the 2nd 8, it was broken up. You are fine :-)

@@Jeremy-jm3fe The Office is one of my all-time favorite shows (I'm almost done with yet another watch through of it lol), so when I criticize it, know it's coming from a place of love lol.
I *loved* Michael Scott when I watched The Office originally, and he is still a great character, but most of the humor from The Office is showing it's age. It's a lot of "I can't believe he just said that" cringe humor and dated pop culture references. Dwight (in my opinion) is the best character now, because of his lack of pop culture awareness lol.
That said, I would love for them to react to The Office, but I worry it's a little slower (not as exciting, like you said), and without the million-jokes-a-minute, and the very slowly building storyline (I still tear up at Jim and Pam's wedding lol), I worry they'll be bored/disappointed.
I watched the British Office first, Parks and Rec, then US Office. I loved it the first time, but not so much on rewatch especially the latter seasons. But I still enjoy all the scenes and references.
Honestly, I think Walt is more upset that Gale will get the credit as Heisenberg. Instead of thinking great, some patsy got the blame, safe now. But his ego wants the credit.
