4K | Preikestolen Cliff (Pulpit Rock) in Norway

- The Preikestolen (Norwegian for pulpit) is a natural occurring rock platform with a near vertical 600 m (2000 ft) cliff at the Lysefjorden in southern Norway near Stavanger.
I visited the pulpit rock in spring 2017. On the first day it was foggy throughout the day. The next morning the clouds cleared up and the stunning view was visible. The sunny weather attracted hundreds of visitors.

That music with those images... Wow!!!
This is the beauty of nature with cliff on side, clear bluish water , relax to eye.
My heart's in my mouth just looking at it 😱
I have been there. And yes it looks amazing. But is also a tourist hotspot. Dont expect a lone walk to the stool. Its full of people.
I got butterflies just watching this
visites it about a year ago. Couldn't come within 3 meters of the edge, it was really scary to me. Meanwhile my stepdad was just sitting on the edge, joking about falling

It’s a strange thing…My wife and I climbed to pulpit rock on a beautiful day years ago, and I dangled my ankles over the edge with no fear - and my wife took some photos. Now, years afterwards, I can’t look at the photos without my palms sweating! It’s so high, it just doesn’t seem real.
'cause you were in love that time 🙂 Love and fear are opposites
Daumen hoch! Gruss inselvideo!
Beeindruckende Location, schöne Aufnahmen, gelungener Schnitt... Gerne mehr davon!
The cracks in it can sweep all tourist to the base of the sea. RIP those fallen heroes.
Toll! Das ist Eindrucksvoll!!!
At 0:55 Do you see that big deep crack on the right corner of the screen, I have seen on Google images that crack nonstop extends to the other side of the rock. Imagine by an earthquake or etc. that crack can easily widen and the whole pulpit rock falls down, especially the bottom of that rock is sort of cone shaped ready to help the fall. You can see the whole crack at 2:29. CAREFUL just now at 0:03 I saw how deep is that crack by the side of pulpit rock
If will visit that tourist spot i will bring on my parachute😌those rock formation seems have crack beneath it
Masterpiece of Endless Time
I can see a small crowd like that just down the road
Just seeing all those people crammed together at a place like this. An accidental bump or some idiot running at that place could be fatal.
Lo spettacolo della natura meravigliosa
Fantastisk !!!
What do you see?
I see power, power of the king.
Awesome
I literally cried watching this. I hope to watch the sunrise here one day
Why did u cry
@@arfshesaid4325 Because it is so beautiful!
Es muy chulo aquello, precioso.
Thé one impressive thing of this place Is that is high AND that people put their lives in risk being so close to the edge
one day (with all those cracks and weight of people) gravity will win and it will shear off, That said, I was there as a young man (1978) and it was incredible.
700 people weight less then a 3mx3mx3m stone cubic, the weight of the people has almost no effect at all
@@arnonym8098 It's not true at all... That only depends on the stability of the Rock and those cracks ..if the structure is weak then a simple vibration can set off a chain reaction, and he is right one Day gravity will win. .. I was never there but just by looking at that thing you can tell it's not safe at all.
@@JohnSmithoriginal1 safer than driving a car down the road.

God said everything stayed there places on my order even a small partical of sand. When time will come they will be unplaced. Or moved.
Nice 🙂👍
That crack is scary!
just a question but isn't this really dangerous? No fences and people just walking around the edges of the cliff. One mistep and you're dead no?
not for 5 seconds or so
My goodness! I don't know if I could do it... and I guess someone who knows is monitoring that crack?
an extra 10 thousand pounds on that natural structure wont matter , right ? ,,, as if we have any clue as to when an enormous chunk of that natural structure could just chip off, lmao
This place has breathtaking views, and I would like to one to day go here. On a side note, this site is where Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill did their epic climactic cliffside fight scene in Mission: Impossible - Fallout with the scene in the movie taking place in India-controlled Kashmir.

Cê loko mano, tive que me segurar , quase caí da cama...😜😁
should rename it "darwin's cliff"!
So beautiful Mashallah
Beautiful place but I’ll stay here on my recliner
Que lugar lindooooo 😍
Parece aquela do capitólio em minar q desabou
Lindo mesmo. Me fez lembrar um pouco do Monte Roraima.
Gives me anxiety seeing people stood at the end with no barriers
Norwegian people have superpowers!
i cant go there, i have unconsciousness desire to jump instead.
No wonder why tourists fall down from time to time. Taking a selfie on the edge is ridiculous
I’m sure that crack is nothing to be concerned about
The place is very delecates
This reminds me of Asgard in God of war Ragnarok.
Schön u.horrormäßig zugleich, brrr--wieviele da wohl schon runtergefallen sind?
Thanks to this video for showing me this. I will nvr be able to see this in person. I'm a minority and am homeless.
I dreamed aboaut this place.a little girl feld of on the left side with her parentnt an a lot of visitors and everyone doing like its normal.
Where’s the security fence? How many people have died / suicide etc
Update after doing a search. Despite this fact, there have not been any accidental Pulpit Rock deaths from falling off of Pulpit Rock. One death in 2013 was initially deemed to be an accident, but a subsequent suicide note caused it to be reclassified as a suicide.
@@markbaker2629, my friend lives there. She told me that someone fell to their death this past summer!
Cant feel my legs!
...it once was a big tree
764 people have fallen to their demise at this tourist destination, however the gov. likes to hide this number and claims just 1 person offed themselves here
Yeah, my friend that lives there said someone fell to their death this past summer. How awful.!😢
Did anybody ever falled off?
yes...
One Spanish tourist in 2013. Other than that, no one.. A miracle if you ask me.. People are taking risks to get the perfect pics on instagram.. A couple jumped though.. Theres also a rumor about a dog jumping after a sausage that someone threw, but it hasn't been 100% confirmed
I love the place but why is it so touristy
Hi, we are Korean reality TV program “Europe Outside Your Tent : Norway”. We are now making the episode of Preikestolen in Norway and it will be really great if you could allow us to use this video in our show! We will be looking forward to ur response! Thanks!
No safety? No way
,this people are crazy to come a foot from the edje
Kids get away from the edge
Crowded
Yes Norway is beatiful, and these sommer my son,his wife and my 2children visit this place and l was so so afraid. I dont like it 😲👎Grandma from Norway 🙃🤭👍😃
How we can travel to there from oslo? Trains widely available? Cost?
This doesn't seems 604 metar high? More like 150 200
Astonishing, 1.5 meter height fence must make for safety. If someone slip, asta Lavista.
In the US, this place would have big fences, but luckily not when it is in Norway.
I don’t know where you’re from, but I just took US as an example.
In all the years only one has fallen of this cliff.. A spanish tourist in 2013...
