My son and me have been there ,it is a 2 ours walk we made it in summertime at good weather circumstances, you need good shoes and enough water and food . You need a good condition ,but you don't have to be a sportsman or athletic. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Norwegian rescue services are best in the world. It's a small but very good and experienced team. They should be a teachers for the rest of the world. Even Russia know about it("Kursk" submarine case).
I have an hundred year old mountain cabin further inside these mountains, and sooo many tourists loose their way and get completely lost, especially in wintertime..get away from these mountains, there is nothing here for you if you cant navigate and wear good clothing in wintertime, you can very easy loose your life
Alex Tol, van the path to Pulpit Rock is indeed well defined. But to many walk in the area and destroy that beautiful place, due to Touristbuisnesspeople wanna earn more money..I do not want nature for myself, I want everybody to enjoy its Beaty and be Free in it. But my cabin is further inside, down the valley, up and further in..and many tourists find their way further inside than from Pulpit Rock area, without proper equipment, like tents or even sleeping bags. In the winter time, there have been many helicopters further inside to pick up injured or frozen people..I have guided many myselfs down to the pulpit rock cabin. Point is, to many people, and to many poorly dressed, especially in winter...Ofcourse I dont want the world for myself, thats just plain stupid to say;)
shinycat01 My words above was intended to be practical and logical info. Ok, a "short" version then: -Everybody should enjoy nature and the beaty there, but, dress accordingly, especially in winter time...if not, they may have problems. -The need for money by greedy people, always makes nature suffer. We should be more caring with our surroundings -When I said plain stupid, read it with a smile..I wish the world was open and borderless, so we could share this beautiful planet together, really as united species..and No again, I dont want the world for myself, I am not one of the ultrarich, few elitist people who prey on it.
The awesome Sikorsky S-61 SeaKing [built by Westland] from the Royal Norwegian Airforce 330 Squadron out of base Stavanger Airport Sola [ICAO ENZV]. Ol' Igor would have been nodding proudly! . . . . . . . 👍
" i am still alive" and i wood not walk out on that crevice cracked hunk of Rock let alone land on it. No??????????????????? Gravity has got to be pull'n on that..................
Just so ppl out there in the world know. The rock the helicopter is landing on, is the most unstable rock in the world. It can colapse at any time (today, tomorrow or in 100 years) So yh, very brave pilots :) Støtt Norsk Luftambulanse folkens!!!!
❤ I have been there several times, and always with good weather, even at 5 Oclock in the morning all alone. Magnificient ! And what a silence !

Hva kjedde?
what has actually happened to invoke a rescue operation ?
Aren't all those people way too close to that helicopter?
Veo que la roca está fisurada, pienso que en un pequeño terremoto, la piedra se parte y se precipita hacia el río.

so beautiful
I was here on this rock in 2011 with my family. I made a barbecue.
I this magical place.
rhanks for not putting some crappy music over this.....
I have seen its helicopter this year as well, but unknown reason, there flown there, stay in the air and the fown away.. ?
They have weekly drills all across the west coast as far as I know.
Squadron 330 SAR based at Sola.
I hope they paid their own bill.
Totally agree with you!
Norwegian hospital and rescue is free
yes, that is what i mean, because the norwegian people pay taxes the hospital is free
If you can be considered to be reckless you might have to pay. Prekestolen is after all easier to navigate than many other mountains in Norway.
@@fluffyluke9174 no, helicoptertransport bills don't cover high risk trips. This one prolly did because the route is for amateurs now.
If youre tired, ore just rolled youre ankle, call norwegian search and rescue.
I am from Norway
Henrik Strand no
Me to
and now you will stay there forever, in a koselig little box
My fav country is your Norway❤️❤️.. i live in Germany

Thorleif Andersen Wrong location, the mountain that is about to collapse is in Sunnmøre.
Personally it does look unstable.
Copter didn’t put it’s full weight on it.
