The older rolling stock is made of 1920s-1940s coaches that have been extensively refurbished and transformed in trains between 1959 and 1960. The newer trains are from 1999. I used the word "trains" because these are actually trains, not trams! This 4km line is what remains of a 137 km narrow gauge railway network that used to run all the way to Frosinone (the province south of Rome) and nearby villages. Car-prone political decisions brought the line in this not-so-good condition. At the end of next year the line will close for good in order to be definetly transformed in a standard gauge tramway.
It’s sad to see everything looks so rundown. It seems to be none of the transit systems have ever had a refit
