I have so much respect for Iranian food and people. Some of the most interesting people I have met in my life and some of the best food I have had in my life have been Iranian. Salam and cheers to you all.
Thank you for the loveliest video! It was interesting to hear about the history behind the dish, and you also have a very nice way of talking through the cooking process. I am half iranian and will make abgoosht for my partner for the first time tomorrow, and I will definitely be following your recipe!
Its nice, abgusht is a classic, thanks for the recipe. We have an earthenware pot, think its 3 litres, and for the past week I was thinking to cook some slow cooked lamb. I will make Abgusht!🐞
Hello Yousef. Thank you for this video. 🙏 I am an Iranian who is watching you from Toronto, Canada. I am a new subscriber. I enjoy your cooking videos. Abgoosht (dizi) is one of my favorite Iranian dishes. Keep up your good work! 🌻
I'll be there at 5:45. : ) another great video. Which cut of lamb do you recommend? Do you think overnight in the oven is ok? I have an induction cooktop so can't do it on the stove. Thank you!
Great video :) I'm an American who has grown up using metal pots and pans to cook, but I'd really like to try using earthenware pots. They seem vastly superior for stews, curries, etc.

Yes, as long as it doesn’t dry out.
Do you add cold water or hot water
Add cold milk instead.
I added room temp here

They are nice. TBH, I don’t use the dizi pots that often, but feel special to use.
Thanks for the video! For reference, the original abgoosht/dizi doesn't have tomatoes and potatoes as they come from the Americas.
🙌🏼
It's ver similar to traditional Azerbaijani dish called "piti". They probably have same roots.
Dear Yousef Persian chiken salad is actually Russian and if you travel to Moscow the restaurant which came up with the salad still exist
