Shooting the Model 1894 Winchester in 38-55

  • Working on a tighter group for the Model 1894 Winchester Crazy Horse Commemorative in .38-55. The factory copper jacketed soft point ammunition does not group well in this rifle, so a new hard cast lead bullet is put through four trials with smokeless powder. The right powder load will increase confidence when hunting wild pigs in Texas in a couple of weeks. I personally like the .38-55. It's big enough to provide the power needed down range, but not so big that recoil can't be tolerated.
    Join us on the range for a cold day of shooting in Montana - at least it wasn't below zero.
