Thank you for this excellent video! Too many people, when making how to videos, get "chatty", talking more about their personal lives than they do about the techniques. Just as bad are the videos with no talking, instead, flashing text on the screen that is flashed too quickly. You stay on topic and give a wealth of informatio. Sincerely, a new subscriber.
It was wonderful to watch you play with the various mediums on the Shrink Prink, thank you so much for sharing this information, I appreciate it! Have a wonderfully blessed day!!!
I have used shrink plastic before but never thought to use all these mediums on them. Grateful that you took the time to try so many things. thanks as always for sharing.
Thanks for showing that. It reminds me of when I was a child, and used to shrink crisp/potato chips packets, then glue brooch pins on the back, to make my own badges!
I know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a tool to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Kendall Brayden i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I love the different looks you obtained with the different mediums. My favorite is the heart with the stencil but I love the butterfly with the waxes too.
I loved the way you used shrink prink sheets as I was wondering how to use them apart from making jewellery as that required lots of patience and time, I really wanted to use these sheets for different things, Thanks a ton for creating this amazing, informative video, as it gives me ample of ideas now how to use them. I loved the idea of using all these mediums as I have got all of them and showing us the darker one doesn't work that good. Once again amazing video thank you so much really appreciate your hard work.
These are great, Keren. It reminded me of using shrinky dinks to create embellishments for my scrapbooks years ago. I am going to price check them against this film and you have inspired me to try some of these mediums!! So many that I love.
yes others asked this above, so I have a piece that my daughter made me with shrinky dink and the frosted rough side is much rougher than this one so not sure how it would react with certain products but its worth a try. what I like is that you can shrink with heat tool. would be curious is you can with the other ones too.
Thank you for experimenting! The different media will sure up my shrink game. Ive been doing this for years. In the video you stated you cant put holes in the plastic after its shrunk. If you have a Dremel tool and tiny bit you can drill holes. I realize not everyone has access to this. Ive also used a hand drill but its not easy. I never would have thought to use water colors on plastic. Your frame idea might work as a stencil if baked to flatten. The difficulty you had in using a cutting machine demonstrates your need to upgrade to a heavier duty machine. Great job on the video. Thanks again. I'd love to see a video where you combine shrink projects into other projects, and the results from different brands of shrink plastic especially on inkjet plastic sheets. Did you know there is silver and gold shrink sheets?
yes I actually used the gold one in a project a few weeks after this one. and I combined some of these in other projects.. thanks for all the great advice!!
Hi Keren! You look fabulous!!🤗 I watched your video when you first posted but then our signal was lost, anyway, I loved all of your experiments with the different mediums, the shrink prink looks like so much fun to create with!! Thank you for providing us all with your craftsperimenting process they all turned out so well for you! I think this will quickly become addicting especially with those gorgeous flowers and butterflies!
It's been a long while since I have watched anything on You Tube and in particular yours and I had forgotten how so very informative your videos are Thankyou so much. I have really enjoyed watching...😘😘😘
I had just ordered these products from joggles.com before seeing this video. Thanks for your time and energy doing the experimental process of exploring medium options. It was very helpful... I love your foam light bulb stamp. TFS and have a great day! :-)
Awesome video. Thank you for showing us what we can use with this new shrink film. I love the acrylic one as well. Your light bulb 💡 looks awesome! I am curious to know what makes this shrink film different from the others already out there? Thank you for sharing
Not sure of the price of the shrink material - but any food container that is marked #6 is the same material---and is free. But I love the various ways you decorated it!!!!
so I have a piece that my daughter made me with shrinky dink and the frosted rough side is much rougher than this one so not sure how it would react with certain products. but trying is always good. that's why I love experimenting.
I believe archival ink is oil based. That's what Tim Holtz said. I could be mistaken, that's what I remember. Good less expensive twisters can be used, just wrap masking or electrical tape around where you hold it to keep it from getting too hot.
I absolutely loved the butterfly colored with the drops of ink. It was so beautiful. I think this is so cool. Thanks you for showing the different mediums. I like the pink butterfly also. I will be getting some of the shrink plastic as soon as we get our taxes back. 😁. It looks so much fun. I really can’t go buy a different heat tool, is there a way to lessen the effect of an embossing tool? Or would a hair drier on cool heat, work? Thank you.
Thanks for such a useful video! I use Grafix shrink material and love it, but I think what may set the Shrink Prink apart from other shrink materials is the "glazey" look of the finished product, almost like you have put a clear coat finish on it. I have put my order in and can't wait to experiment. I do have one question, can this material be heated/shrunk in an oven, rather than using a heat gun? (I currently use an old toaster oven)
so I used some of the grafix one but only the gold one so far and its way shinier, and I do think the shrink prink is a bit different. I haven't experimented with all yet. I do believe you can put in oven. I would also try a hair dryer.
How is this any different than any other shrink plastic? I have white, translucent and printable. I seem to be able to do all of the same things with it.
@Keren Tamir Thanks for replying ! i just had a few more questions - at what temperature ? do we need to preheat the oven ? for how much time ? will the shrink prink become thick after shrinking?
sorry I thought I replied to it. I think it says on the packaging but If i remember correctly its 350F and in terms of time it depends on the size of the image. you can watch it shrink. it becomes thick and hard after
I find the shrinky dinks a bit rougher but i think it depends on the film as there's various. the price is a little cheaper as you get more sheets for a similar price
The first shrink plastic sheets I bought 15 years ago...said that I had sand one side so that medium could grip on it. Have you tried and compared if there is any difference?
so you don't need to do that to this one. I had a piece of shrinky dink that my daughter made me at camp and it was way rougher like you said. This one is smooth in comparison, even the rough side.
Keren do you think this new shrink film is different from the shrinky dink film and if so could you explain the difference. I am going to try some of these mediums on the old stuff because the old melts the same. I have always colored what I was making before shrinking so I bet there is not much difference but curious to know. TFS you gave a real nice tutorial but just one thing i would have liked to have seen them up closer so I could see all the different mediums
this one is a bit smoother thank shrinky dinks, and its cheaper in comparison. it still shrinks the same, not sure if you can use a heater with shrinky dinks as I don't have any. I tried to show close-ups but the camera wouldn't allow. you can see some close ups on Instagram @kerentamir_art
I’ve never tried but I don’t know if it would work as the flower can’t shrink. I also didn’t try with heat embossing. I don’t know if it would shrink either. But you can apply afterwards
so the plastic is I think too hard to print on as it might crack when going through the printer however one of the things I should have tried is tracing an image that I printed. maybe next time as I only thought about it after!! lol
@@cindyfinn4845 yes I just got some graphix products to experiment it says on their website that you can print on it. I'm going to try and compare. I will try with this one too just in case. I will compare the thickness.
@@KerenTamir Ive printed one image and just trying to figure how to execute the rest of project but it prints awesome. I will order more in the future as well but working on some resin work at moment..

I would use a hair dryer but maybe experiment with the embossing tool too just don't hold it so close. test both and see which one works better
