Thanks man starting play a week ago hated wizard switched to demon hunter and now am grinding it out trying to get all the legendaries and the gems needed this helped a lot
As solo player paragon 23 i use strafe instade daring swing for 2 things, it gets me out from the crowd and at the same time it drops heals for me which really help. Not the daring swing is bad but i dont think it is as good as strafe when solo. Good guide keep up👍
💯 absolutely agree. I've learned a lot from him unfortunately he never/rarely interacts with ppl like us. Ex answering questions etc.he doesn't even like our comments lols 🤣
Very good guide. I was having troubles on if i should use knock back or not. I love that skill but i also like being able to dodge easily. now i know what situations to swap them out for. thanks again.
the hardest part about playing demon hunter efficiently is to choose between specifying between Visa, Master Card and American Express. All builds have their cons and pros, however, the good thing is that no matter which one we choose, we can get up to 800% extra value out of it!
Awesome guide, you really know how to explain things. Just straight up efficient and no BS. Valuable info all the way. I would very much like if you could make these kind of guide for the other classes. - Quick question: Looks like DH has a lot of inputs or APM.. auto-atacking and using skillshots at the same time, does it make a class not ideal for casuals/beginners? Or is it just so much damage that it doesn't really matter how you are throwing skills, you just blast everything anyway? - And just a minor detail, but not that important: when you were introducing the class skills, it would be nice to add a quick clip of what those skills look like in game.. like when you were talking about multishot and how is kills everything on the screen, it's good to have a visualization of it. But like I said, it's not that big deal.. Keep up the good work man! Peace.
@JR KookieDoh Haha. I ended up playing D3 for a week to test out some classes, yeah I know it's a different game, but I just wanted to get the vibe for play style. On D.I Launch I ended up rollin Wiz. Only L35 at the mo, but defs vibin on the Wiz so far ;) ps I created a DH too, might mess about with it a later date, but there already seem to be heaps of them on my server.
The problem with this guide and the maxroll guide is that there is no ranking of legendary gems. That's the most important info. The rest is kind of obvious. Like I have a 2 star Rank 1 Howling Call, Echoing Shade, and Blessing of Worthy im using with A Rank 3 Fervent Fang, Rank 2 Lightning Core, and Rank 5 Everlasting Torment... But I also have a Phoenix Ashes and Chip of Stoned Flesh and I'm not sure if those should automatically replace my lesser gems, and which ones. My bag is full of legendary gems but I'm holding off on using them to upgrade something until I know what I am going to use the longest.
I want them to add witch doctor and druid to the game... And I think it would be lit if they added ethereal items and make them pure end game gear that you can only get in the highest difficulties, and echoing nightmares... That's pretty much it... If they add all of that to the game, and just keep the battle pass interesting every season by increasing the max paragon level every season or something along those lines, then I don't think the game will ever die... But even if they don't add any of that the game will still definitely be alive and kicking for awhile after release.
I'd really like to see some tactical PVP for the DH - I love my DH but a lot of people talk it down for PVP. I hear a lot of people talk up the mage, but I don't see many and it sounds like the Necro out-damages the mage as well - there are way too many necros in the world, but the mage fascinates me too
Smoke screen with the pants that turn it into green fog that delivers 9k damage applied with the rain of vengeance overtop is NOT and I repeat NOT a setup to sleep on for just looting. Especially if u pair it with the spinning chachram that u can add to spin around u and then double ur spinning chachram later. 2 spinning chachrams, ur fog, ur rain, and ur vengeance kills most any hoard. Now go into ur pvp or Greater rifts or Into hell2? Nah u gonna need to buff up ur damage a little more acutely
Thanks for your input Raxx, absolutely trust your confidence with DH! BUT can you please emphasize the pvp part? They have lack of mobility I get that. But can they do alot of damage when have a chance right?
I just reached 60 yesterday and am still equipped with the level 10BP hungerer for the passive effect for crossbow shot. I always found better offhand in terms of stats and base dmg. Do i keep using this hungerer or change it? This issue applies to my mainhand (flamespite) too. Do i always just change to the one that goves me higher CR?
I'm torn about the sentry I played the hunter on beta it did do good damage but the bloody trash would keep taking them out fast. So it was often just frustrating. And if you're moving fast through the trash the sentry only got a few shots off b4 you moved on seem like a waste of a skill spot most of the time.
hey, one question. Should I equip legendary equipment with the perfect skill for my build even if its rating is way lower than other legendary equipment I have? Greetings
See heres the thing. I love DH, i love DH so much. But hearing how bad it is in pvp knowing i'm going to be in a pvp clan... I wonder if barbarian or crusader would be more helpful to the group as a whole. I wish it was more like d3 where multi classes were a option. But knowing how you need to stick with whichever you pick really has me wondering.
Question - how can Blizzard run an open beta on the PC on the same day the game launches for everyone else? That seems both weird and unfair at the same time.
When it comes to pvp ( I don’t do pvp much cuz it’s all whales it seems ) you gotta act like an assassin stay back use daring swing to jump in unload jump out using daring swing rinse repeat this is tricky with timing and skill cool down but you can do it
Am I crazy.. or do SHOULDER legendaries drop WAY more often than everything else legendary? Is there some kind of hidden drop mechanic in the game with that?
The release of this game on pc just adds a few question marks for me; isn't D4 supposed to come out next year on pc? As I recall, this was originally meant to be a mobile-only game. Now that it's available on pc, are most people going to play it there instead of on mobile, unlike it was originally meant for? Let's face it, even after this definitive guide, this game seems to add barely anything beyond what D3 already does; many of the DH abilities, skills, and items just look like rehashes from D3 material. I can't figure how the hell someone is supposed to play this game on a phone unless they have tiny baby hands. If I had to wager a guess, Blizzard realized that their shit-mobile game idea was not going to sell nearly as much as they wanted and had invested into it, so they decided to immediately port it to pc to try and recoup some of that investment with the cash store. As soon as D4 comes out, this game will quickly fade out of the dim limelight it barely even has. I sincerely hope no one is spending much money on this game, but I know whales will be whales.
I know you need them, but boy, the adverts on the maxroll site are just awful. all your teams effort to make a beautiful, definitive and extremely well-functioning website ruined by ugly animated and auto-playing ads. even getting ad visuals that match the color theme of the site would be a huge improvement.
Hey Raxx, I appreciate your work!! But you look very tired. More than usual. Hopefully everyting is ok with you?! Maybe you are able to take some days off from the PC. Do sports, relaxing and so on.
You could have saved every one some time and made this video 30 seconds. Set your wallet on the desk, pull your credit card out, point to it and the video is over.
Hey mate. I normally don't ever comment.. But you have done an incredible guide on the Demon Hunter. Very informative, thank you!

Incredible guide Rax, super complete for those who weren't able to join the alpha/beta. Thanks a lot mate!

Hmmmm tempting, DH looks good, love that boss burst damage! Right now I'm torn between Demon Hunter, Crusader, Necro, Barb, Wizard & Monk! 😂😂😂

Vayne's Condemn (E)
Ashe's Volley (E)
MF's-make it rain (E)
Samira-Inferno Trigger (R)
Akshan-Heroic Swing (E)
Heimerdinger-evolution turret (Q)

it actually is better to use swing instead
I found it hard to follow the guide without any paint illustrations but other than that it was a great guide
hey, one question. Should I equip legendary equipment with the perfect skill for my build even if its rating is way lower than other legendary equipment I have? Greetings
Use essence transfer
Only caveat is you cannot use explosive shot while moving
