HOLY COW!!! I stumbled on your 5 days post op vid first… then went to your page and saw this one! WOW you look amazing! I am considering the sleeve but nervous about it..
I remember when I found your channel back when I was first considering surgery. I had then lost your channel for about a year and now had my gastric bypass 3 days ago. I somehow found your channel back and couldn't be happier, its very motivating to see this with how I'm currently feeling. I'll keep what you're saying in mind!
Seriously way to go champ! Screw what others say finding your happy range with food is so important for people who suffer with food and weight. I can't wait for my surgery! Thank you for amazing informative content.
Hey man. I just got my consultation for surgery and was cleared. Now comes the long journey of waiting to have the surgery. Your videos have been really great. I’m happy to see how far you have come along ❤
Thank you Fil for taking care he time and sharing, hope you don’t mind asking you in your video of 3 months and a half after the surgery you remember how much you lost until that point? How long took you to lose those 40lbs before surgery? How much you were overweight or how much you were looking to loose? Thank you and good luck in your journey looking good bro
Your videos have been a most helpful resource in learning about this process. Thank you for taking the time to share. Not sure when my surgery will happen, but I am very hopeful it will have the outcome desired and help with my quality of life.
Thank you for posting this video (I also know which video you're referring to that people commented on). I'm 2 months post-OP, and it's only two weeks ago that I've been able to start somewhat enjoying food again because my portion sizes have gotten a tiny bit bigger. Some people are scared when they see themselves eating more, but I'm not, the reason being I had no energy for the longest time and experienced dehydration the first 3 weeks (drinking water was quite difficult too). Not being able to eat and drink for fuel isn't fun. I am happy to hear you found an RD that you can go to for help. I had my gastric sleeve done overseas and have a follow up with my PCP on 3/1/24 so that we can discuss my progress thus far. I'm also going to see if I can find an RD here. (My bariatric surgeon from overseas provided me with an RD who said I can contact her at anytime, which I appreciate, but I prefer in person visits). I've been learning and trying my best to implement intuitive eating, focusing on what I can add to my diet rather than what I can subtract. Of course, I have no interest in eating French Fries and cheeseburgers at this point in my journey, but I am sure I will want to eat said meal one day; I will make sure to enjoy it when I do, and I'm not afraid to say that. I wish I learned from a young age that dieting is not effective and leads to more weight gain as time passes. I would have probably seen an RD at that point instead of trying keto and other restrictive eating methods that did more harm than good. It is what it is, though, and I got the surgery just 1 month after turning 25, so I'm very excited (yet nervous, I'll admit) for this new journey. I look forward to focusing on health, not just weight.
I know you were struggling to find things you wanted to share on here. I justed wanted to say thank you and I hope you continue to share your story. I'm only less than 3 months post but I feel so much better and I hope you do too.
Thank you for your videos. I had my veg surgery 5 days ago and I feel great. I did not go through pain just a mild discomfort on the second day and nothing afterwards. I have tolerated my liquids, protein and jello and so far I am doing just great. I have my post op appointment in 3 days and hopefully I will be moving to my phase 2. You have done great and I have seen how good you look. Keep posting because your videos are very helpful ❤❤❤
Thank you for your videos. I am on phase 3 of my Post Op and learning how to add more protein with my puree. Sometimes I can eat up to 4 onz but most of the times is just 2.5, I have learned to listen to my body and that makes it easier for me. I guess it's the fear that I may damage my sleeve if I eat something other than what this phase meals are supposed to be, but I found out that depending on the surgeon and the nutritionist you get, your phase and foods differ and it confuses me sometimes. I will continue with my regiment and I am super happy about my decision to have this surgery. I am looking forward to the next chapter of my life and I wish I would have done this much earlier than when I did. I encourage anyone to do their research so that they understand that this is a tool that requires a commitment to follow. Thank you for your videos and your transparency. ❤❤
Thank you so much! I too wish I did it sooner, and I'm so glad to see it's going well so far. I noticed it too that every place had different food recs
Excellent video 🙌🏻 I too stopped taking my vitamins and it showed in my blood work my Bariatric Surgeon put a stop to that and explained why it was so important , Now I’m back on track 😊 Thank you for sharing your journey for the ups + downs I’m a Year out and still trying to figure out what works best for me 🤗 Keep up the great work ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much for making this video! Everyone that I have talked to tell me the same thing. However, the dietitian available makes me feel like I can’t have any of the food I previously had but just modified. I know she means well but it kinda of makes me like damn what did I do. Please no backlash on my comment. It takes a lot for people to step out there and try to relate.
They’re definitely stricter at the beginning I feel like. I definitely was more rigid the first few months. I would do a 4oz protein and some broccoli and sweet potato usually. I’d vary so I wouldn’t get bored.
Great job 👏👏 I’m at my second week pre op diet, having my VSG surgery this upcoming Friday 12/22 at 7:30am. I’m nervous now after waiting for 4 months… but I know everything is going to be alright!
It’s a bit saggy on my stomach and thighs, but it just looks like I have a bit of a beer belly. I was at my heaviest weight for about 2 years and I’m young, so the odds were in my favor and I got super lucky. Definitely a little bit of skin tho
Another very informative video. This is my first time commenting on your videos. I've watched almost all of them. I had gastric bypass surgery on 9/26/23 and I've lost 48 pounds so far. I like watching your videos and hearing about your diet, life changes, challenges and how you have a very positive outlook towards a much healthier life. Keep making videos and I wish you continued success.
wow! you look sexy hot now. no really you look amazing. I watched the video just after your surgery and you look like a younger man for sure. I would never put the two video as the same person.
Definitely! I forget how long, but the first few weeks they told me to limit to one cup bc it’s a diuretic and can dehydrate you (some doctors disagree on that and say it’s fine because the water from the coffee offsets it) but at one of my appts, the doctor said I can straight up drink it but to make sure I’m drinking regular water too
THANK U for sharing; I have been following you since July 2023 ; was scheduled for surgery and needed support to go through with it and a Angel sent u . My GS surgery was done on Monday August 7, 2023 I was 257 when I started Im now 187,,,,plus two 189 today OOOOOOPpps home for the holidays been drinking fun cocktails 🍷🍹. Great video

Benjamin Button...i started on your 5 day out video

You can drink coffee?
Definitely!
