Last time I was seriously speedcubing was 2011. It feels like even the super budget cubes are better than the cubes I had 10 years ago. Coming back will be much more easier and affordable for me. Thanks for the summary man.
it's quite amazing how much cubing hardware has developped, especially for the big cubes. I only started in 2016 and back then the WR for 6x6 was 1:33 by kevin hays. Good times.
I've literally been commenting on other videos about which cubes would be good to get and then J Perm drops a video listing out and comparing all of them. Thank you J Perm, this video is really helpful for people who don't know which puzzles are worth buying.
For Megaminx the best options are the X-Man Galaxy V2 M at $30 and the YJ YuHu V2 M at $13. A lot of top solvers use the X-Man Galaxy V2 M. The YJ YuHu is the best budget Megaminx and is almost just as good as the Galaxy V2 at half the price. The Gan Megaminx is also really good but it's $58. You might as well just get the Galaxy V2 since it's half the price and some top solvers still prefer using it over the Gan. The X-Man Wingy Concave Skewb at $14 used to be the best Skewb but now the Gan Skewb at $22/$32 takes it's place. If you don't really care about the customization features and want to save a few bucks the Wingy is still a really good option. I'd say the best budget Skewb is the Cyclone Boys Magnetic Skewb at $10 but it's only a few dollars cheaper so I'd recommend just saving up for the Wingy instead. For the super budget segment, the Meilong and Yuxin Little Magic Skewbs are both decent for $6. Hopefully this helps!

Thanks Dude! I was getting some new cubes a few months ago, and my mom was like "since YJ MGC is on every cubic puzzle, just get MGC for all of them". I really wanted an AoSu WRM for 4x4 but I guess that the MGC isn't too bad either. The only thing I really felt bad about is that we didn't get the MGC Elite 3x3 because my mom thought I had too many 3x3s. :( Other than that, I really love all these cubes!
@JPerm. My Son got a 2 x 2 and a 3x3 cube set for this Birthday back in November. I wanted to figure it out and started looking up UA-cam videos. I found videos tried to figure it out and was having issues. Then I found your site and it was explained well and I was able to figure out the 2 x 2 and memorize the solve. Then I decided to try the 3 x 3. Worked through you videos and was able to memorize solving that then I decided I wanted to get faster so been going through your other videos. Then I realized the cube he has was a cheap I watched this video and now have ordered my cube based on your recommendations. I just bought my first 3x3, or really any cube puzzle, ever. I started watching your videos about a week ago and can't stop watching them. Very entertaining and now I want to learn how to solve a rubix cube. So I bought the MFJS RS3 M 2020 and used your code to do so. I was at a party in college many years ago, and there was a guy there who brought his rubix cube and solved it for us... I was so impressed and intrigued and asked him to show me how to do it, but of course I was drunk and had a hard time paying attention and did not retain ANY of it! So I will learn from you. Thanks again for the great content and inspiration. BTW, the first video of yours that popped up as a recommendation was the 21 by 21 solve. Loved it.

Megaminx: I recommend getting the gan or x man galaxy v2. For budget I recommend the yj yuhu v2 m. Skewb: I recommend the x man wingy, moyu aoyan or the gan. No budget as they’re mainly ballbearing skewbs and aren’t worth it, just go straight to one of these.

I recently got into speedcuning and got a Yuxin Litte Magic Elite M for 750 INR(Discounted, MRP 2100 INR) which is approx. 10 USD(Discounted, MRP 24 USD) and have truly enjoyed it. I got sub minute with it rather than a 1:15+ time on my previous cube and even gor a sub 45 with the CFOP method I recently learnt. I think it is worth to consider the Yuxin Little Magic Elite M as a budget speedcube for 3 × 3.
Yes, but for 10 dollars usd you can get the moyu rs3m, which is excellent for the price and competes with the best cubes. If you need to buy a new cube that is not too expensive I highly recommend you buy this one because I've been cubing for 5 years and I can have sub 15 solves with the rs3m, which is my average
I feel like it would've been worth it to include other variations of cubes like the gts3 lm or valk 2 lm. People who like lighter magnets like myself prefer these. I recently got into speedcuning and got a Yuxin Litte Magic Elite M for 750 INR(Discounted, MRP 2100 INR) which is approx. 10 USD(Discounted, MRP 24 USD) and have truly enjoyed it. I got sub minute with it rather than a 1:15+ time on my previous cube and even gor a sub 45 with the CFOP method I recently learnt. I think it is worth to consider the Yuxin Little Magic Elite M as a budget speedcube for 3 × 3.
Yes, but for 10 dollars usd you can get the moyu rs3m, which is excellent for the price and competes with the best cubes. If you need to buy a new cube that is not too expensive I highly recommend you buy this one because I've been cubing for 5 years and I can have sub 15 solves with the rs3m, which is my average

I feel like it would've been worth it to include other variations of cubes like the gts3 lm or valk 2 lm. People who like lighter magnets like myself prefer these.
Also worth putting the ylm in the super budget 3x3, old cube but had aged well
