I'm on my second one of these, they can wear down quite a bit. This is a must have to help prevent hitting 100% brakes in panic situations, it adds progressive resistance with a hard push to get that last 10% of pedal. While not a load cell, it is absolutely an improvement of brake feel from stock. Their TH8A shifter mod is also well worth it.
Real-world race pedals require lots of pressure to press 100%. That's what people are trying to replicate with these mods. Don't try mods like this unless your pedals are solidly secured to a stable rig or else you'll be pushing your wheel stand across the room every time you smash the brakes.
