Great video and descriptions. It makes total sense to plug the tank return connection and bleed out the return hose with new fluid. I don’t have to worry about air being in the lines!
I'm glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Hi looking to do a flush on mine. Did you say youl need 1 quart to do a flush?
Total capacity with pump, hoses, rack and reservoir is about 1 quart so if you're super careful that might be enough. Having 2 on hand for spillage and WTF factor might make sense. I don't know why the small bottles are standard (1-quart), and the large ones are metric (5-liters). If you have a manual trans, it's the same fluid. Some of the auto trans also use ATF+4 but not the 8 & 9 speeds. You need to verify the fluid for your gearbox. If you can, I would recommend getting the 5 liter size and sharing it between the gearbox and PS like I did.
@@ScubaMoto ive already done my auto gearbox. Il check to see if theres much left. Same stuff in steering yeah?
It's possible. As I mention in the video, ATF +4 is what they recommend for the PS system. ATF +4 is the same fluid as PS +4. They are the same part number. I don't know which auto gearbox you have or what fluid you bought for it, but it might be the same. It is for the Tremec manuals and some of the autos.
I just checked your channel profile and I see you have a 6.1. Your automatic transmission and your power steering fluid are both ATF4+. I hope that helps.
@@ScubaMoto 1 quart capacity doesnt seem much at all, im surprised. Anyway thanks for the help dude👍
