Yeah you can check it but at the dealership there's a sequence to check it and it has to be a certain temp if you change the fluid you have to replace the entire pan as the filter is integrated into it and the fluid is from ZF eng. Is 43-48 dollars per qt. And you need ten it's very pricey not lifetime though
T694 R/T thanks bro I pinned your comment so it can help people out
@@UA-camNonaBudget no problem btw there's a metal pan you can buy which the filter is not integrated then from there on you can only buy the filter and fluid the stock pan is plastic too
🤔 interesting.
I'm not too sure about it taking 10 quarts, I have a 7 quart pan I drained into and it's not quite full I have maybe 5... I guess I'll see when I drop the pan tomorrow but I don't see another 4+ quarts coming out since the plug is removed and nothing more is draining.
How do u fill it? I had a leak in the line and need fill it back up
Just skip the video.. its just him on the phone. Its an 8 speed zf.. used in many vehicles. Trans temp has to be at a certain temp, and theres a plug on the right side of the trans to check it. Obviously more involved than my comment makes it out to be. But yes you can check/ service the trans fluid on these.
Lifetime is subjective. The little mileage a person keeps a car, the original owner will never worry about it. It’s becomes your problem at 100k plus
Lifetime transmission is a scam. I would still change the transmission fluid.
They are not recommended unless you have a problem with it
Yea you gotta change it lifetime fluid is the actual life of the transmission so once it's done that's it but if you change every 30000 miles it will last longer
Lifetime in dealership language is until warranty is up 😂
Dude 5 min of you listen to rings. And then that bs
Lifetime transmission is just plain dumb. Dodge is straight up lying!
Yessir its just a way to make you get a new car or spend some $$. No such thing as lifetime transmission✅
Thanks for your video. Have nice day
You should service it after 50,000 miles
You mean transmission fluid should be changed after 50k miles ?
@@arazmustafa3428yes
You ain’t give us shiiiit
The rt has “lifetime” fluid they tried to tell me 1200$ to change it… it’s literally 4 bolts and less then 200$ in parts if u change filter and fluids.
I need it where do I go
I have 2016 RT
Ive got a 2014 100th anniversary dodge charger w/ 3.6l with the 8 speed transmission mine is also sealed.
You can order a deals dipstick online . And it’s bullshit when they tell you there’s no leaks . Because my daughters car is low and slipping. I can tell it needs fluid. It’s feels exactly the same way and my 5.7 W. Low on fluid ,but mine has a place where you can put Fluid, and I order the dealer dipstick on line
Talk about misleading... title the vid “ I’m calling the dealership to confirm you CANT check it” NOT “ how to check transmission “ you didn’t check anything... don’t act like you know how then ask viewers to tell you how to do it... 👎👎👎👎 for sure ..
Where did you get the engine covers?
He painted them.. it's in a video he did back then.
There is no such thing as a lifetime fluid. Change fluid every 75k miles. They make a dip tool that uses the full port. Measure the level with transmission at a certain temp. There is a chart online for it
Hey I have a 2012 dodge charger Im hearing this poping noise that seems to be coming from the Ac vents every now and then. Do you have any ideal what can that be...
Blend door actuator
I have a 2012 sxt plus and it’s completely sealed
Me too. Did you get the oil changed? Mine has 130k miles. I want to change the oil but hesitant.
What's up bro I need your help I have a 2018 Dodge charger SXT when I'm driving it a few miles in from d to reverse it kicks the sounds it comes from the differential I went to the dealer the first time and they told me it was the transmission and they change the transmission still has that noise but in the dealer that told me they cannot do nothing is a normal noise for me it's not normal is loud
Ive had that issue on my 2015 sxt for as long as i can remember, it sounds louder if the car is on a hill right? Ive had it checked out many times and honestly i believe it doesnt affect the car negatively as ive driven 30k+ hearing that noise. If anyone knows anything further it would be much appreciated
Wow. Too much gett on this channel
Do you know if the life time warranty includes a 2016 dodge durango sxt? It also has the 8 speed automatic transmission.
There is no lifetime warranties unless you're the first owner.
I Have Watched every Video You have lol !!! you must been Talking to ME!!
2014 SXT has “lifetime” transmission in it. I hate it, can’t service it myself!
I rebuilt a 2014 Charger sxt awd. Transmission fluid is sealed and had leaked. Had to tow it to Dealer when had tje body fixed. Cost like $600 to fill the sealed system. Each quart cost like 24 bucks!!!
Thats a complete lie, because “Lifetime” on Cars like Chargers and Challengers are 50,000-65,000.. so not legit lifetime and you can still change and check it💯
Agree 100%.
How? I got a 2016? Can you help me?
I currently own 2013 Charger SXT Plus 3.6 and it doesn't have transmission tube.
Yeo I’m zoinked rn dis shi funny ash😂
It's the same on all from that year up. No dipstick on the v-6 or 8 cylinder stock motors as well...
Wrong. Igggy
Yup i know
Lifetime transmission for a dodge charger is 112000 miles
How did you see me raising my hand 😂☠️ seriously though a lot of parts moved on the 18 my air filter is under the right windshield wiper
Lifetime transmission is not good lots of these new cars have that and there good for about 100000 miles to my opinion my tundra and charger both have these so called life time transmission but I dont trust them at all. Thanks for sharing with us have great day
Great thx bro it’s very informative
Not cool. I have a 2018 and now I’ll have to take it to the dealer 😒 I realized a small leak when I was changing the oil last time. Thank you so much for the info.
Yu cn use yur oil stickers to check it
Where did you cop that splitter and those sideskirts? Dangggg they look great.
MagicalFishy I made them
A sealed transmission is not " life time ". Even the manual says to check and or change it. The manual tells you how to do it. I check mine all the time.
My manual doesn't tell you how to. But says to change it if water go to it.
"lifetime transmission" just means the lifespan of your warranty lol
It is NOT a lifetime transmission. Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen (ZF) recommend that the 8 speed auto is serviced every 100,000KM (for you Americans 60,000 miles).
It IS lifetime. But the life time of your transmission!
Which will be 100k miles without changing the fluid
That's about right, I hit 78,000 miles and my transmission is toast.
Lifetime transmission fluid is a scam.
@@offthebeatenpath3309 what year??
You can service it and change it from below using a pump at any good auto care. You can't check the oil life as you would do with the engine oil.
Wassup with yoo hairline tho😂
What’s up with your shitty personality??
Hey bro love the diving👍😎
Just was gonna reccomend the factory mopar cold air intake kit, it looks beautiful...and let's out a really nice moaning growl when ya get your foot into it👍
Shiii I got a 8 speed
In a 2014
Lifetime transmission fluid. Not really, depends on what you will consider lifetime (if a new car, around 100K miles, check color of fluid and change out trans fluid. if used Car check trans fluid around 50k miles, check the color of fluid.
but how do you check it yourself? I don't see a place in the car to do that. its like I have to take it into a dealership just to check it??
Edit your videos fam
Man I have been slipping on commenting first😂😂
They check it by the temperature
Man, I didn't know this.
Is your car a v6????
I got a 2014 sxt it’s sealed as well
Where is the resevoir located
👍 👍 👍
When in doubt check your owners manual. All maintenance by mileage intervals are listed in there. No vehicles fluids last forever.
M Ranger meaning can check it
UA-camN' on a Budget
You can order a dipstick for your car with directions on how to read it online. It has to up to temperature to get a correct reading. My 09’ charger 5.7l has the same dipstick tube as your 3.6l. Different transmissions but same rules apply.
M Ranger on the 2015 and up I can’t find it
UA-camN' on a Budget
Amazon has it. It’s $17 search your car on there. It’s a universal dipstick
M Ranger no it’s nowhere to put the dipstick on the 2015 and up
You wasted my time
What is the name of the rims what to put on your car
Thank u... I was trying to figure out the transmission fluid on my 2013!
Did u happen to find how to do ot ?
Yes it needs service after 50 to 70k miles.
No life time transmission fluid ,an less ....your life spend 100K on your car
