While wrestling, you might accidentally hit a wrestler a little too hard. If that happens, you'll probably get hit back with what we call a receipt. I earned myself my fair share of receipts during my WWE career, and in this video, I rank them from least painful to most.

Mav! Love you and what you do my brother in God And this has nothing to do with your video But I just wanted to convey that when Mama Hoffman passed, I cried with you, brother. I obviously can't share your pain, but I was there grieving with you thru spirit and praying for you to find comfort because you're worth it, my son🙏💪💪❤️❤️💯💯💯💯💯

Still advocating for Maven to try to get that gig back that he was going to have in 2020 before the pandemic happened. He can easily be a backstage interviewer or an announcer on like nxt, even just a PLE pre show announcer. Too talented, rooting for him either way
He be 🔥 AF in NXT or smackdown. Be the good cop while aldis is bad cop 😂

@@aybanpaliI’ve actually thought what wwe might think of his videos and if they’re ok with what he’s doing. But you may be right
Why should he give up his new successful venture to go work for a corporation where he'll have to be on the road a lot? Maven will be better off continuing to build his podcasting career. Jim Cornette has made a mini-empire for himself. Maven can too...
That Jericho submission looked so painful, he leaned way to far back
Boston Crab is a spinal lock, of course it hurts a lot.

That was painful as hell Maven he really taught you a big lesson the bad part about it that when he did it the first time later on if probably made you tense up more where you can really get hurt from it even if he didn’t apply it for real just the thought of it all it probably was horrible making you to pull a muscle or something!

“Help me pay my dues” means take liberties with the newer guy because it was done to them. Paying your dues by risking brain damage is ridiculous. Maven is the nicest guy in the wrestling community.
Exactly
You can stop at 'take liberties with the newer guy', that was my (thankfully short) experience with the phrase.
You have to remember this was before the days of CTE or to at least having the knowledge they do now. Only the strong survive and paying dues is weeding out the weak from the strong. At the end of the day you being on that card is taking away a payday from another perhaps more deserving worker and testing them is a way of finding out whether or not they deserve that spot and if they can hang in the big leagues.
@@Nclchitchatyou should be able to recognize that shit was a product of it's time, and is also stupid as fuck. It's weird for bro to talk so glamorously of people destroying his brain long term.

Maven: 😊
I have to agree with what you said about Pro Wrestling not being for you if you can't handle the physicality. Went to a school when I was 19, made it about a month before I woke up one morning and was so sore I couldn't get myself out of bed. Realized then that while I love Pro Wrestling, actually doing it just wasn't for me. Massive respect for those who can though, it gets rough.

One of the things I respect the most about Maven, is how often he admits something going wrong was his wrong doing and not the other competitor. It’s much easier to point fingers rather than show accountability. So for that he earns a lot of my respect.
I agree with that! I think it's very admirable!

That Undertaker chair shot wasn't a Receipt, it was assault with a deadly weapon.....

I like Maven really. I was too young to remember his wwe career, or maybe his booking wasn't that big, but anyway I really like seeing this side of him. It's nice to hear these stories and learn about the business. I've been watching him a lot recently. Really entertaining.
I also heard he hated talking about wwe after he left, glad to see he embraced. Also seems quite humble.
That chair shot look brutal. I’m glad they don’t do those to the head anymore . Hard to watch
But that what makes it interesting instead of the pussy chair shots nowadays
@RG-hj2ky yeah I never watched Ecw .
Damn dude i didn't notice this until now. Not long ago you had just hit 100ksubs and now? You're almost at 400ksubs. Insane! You are making waves around here and to have it happen for you who feels like an all around genuine dude, thats the best part of it! Thanks for all your insights Maven!
Maven's voice , whisdom , charisma. He needs to come back to WWE in some shape or form doing those kinda video weekly for them!
Hardcore Holly was always one of my top favorites!
So many wrestlers do not look like they are giving 100% physically. Mostly around 70% going through the motions.

I admire Maven's approach in his videos, especially how he reflects on his past with genuine fondness. It's refreshing to see someone from the wrestling world who isn't harboring bitterness or resentment towards the industry or his colleagues. Maven's positive outlook is truly a breath of fresh air amidst a landscape often marked by rivalry and jealousy among former wrestlers.
Keep up the great work, Maven! Wishing you continued success and fulfillment in all your endeavors.
I agree; it's very telling when someone can revisit past career highs and lows without a trace of bitterness. So many guys that were on top when Maven was there have ended up jaded, and certainly wouldn't bring much objectivity to a topic like this.

The undertaker knocking your brain around your skull with a chair was done with malice. He should've been charged for a crime.
Yeah, Charged for a crime for a Scripted Chairshot 😂
Yeah, that's exactly the way I feel about it. This is just physical assault.
Wrestling is about NOT hurting someone and making it look real. Not actually hurting someone. Anyone can do that.
Accidentally hurting someone (and getting back a receipt for it, so that you are more focused) can be understood.
But, I have no tolerance for these low-lifes that INTENTIONALLY hurt someone, just cause they are senior.
