This video is a literal life changer. I've been constipated since I was toilet trained, suffered from hemorrhoids since my teens, am on stool softeners and a low-starch diet all my life so I can pass a stool once every other day, and got told it's a matter of gobbling up pasta all day. It also runs in my family. If this is something physio can fix, I might just have a normal quality of life.

Thanks for awesome videos on this embarrassing issue... I got mine under control by following your tips! :) From personal experience there's also weird connection between hemorrhoids and prostate, specially inflamed one. So if you are a guy, making sure you get help on prostate issues also helps with hemorrhoids.

Try a low residue diet instead of a high fiber diet.
Dr Chung explains awhile ago that fiber instead of making things better can make everything worse because the fiber takes up all the liquid in your large intestine and it stops the BM from moving.
It also adds bulk so larger BM.

When you have roids or fissures your gut pushes the stool train downward and your anal sphincters tighten up reflexively. Some people use a squatting pot which aligns your lower colon and anus in a straight angle which makes it easy to move bowels but for me it does the opposite because I use muscles in my abdomen differently so I do the reverse I lean forward and bend my torso towards the floor like you would do if you feel faint. I take a deep breath and slowly push and patiently await Mr poop to find it’s way out. Works every time. You don’t want to sit on the bowl long gravity and sloppy pelvic muscles can put too much pressure on anus. If you can’t go yet go walk around drink some water and give the urge time to grow. Stool softeners prune juice or miralax to soften up stool add water to it and make it easier to evacuate

    • @jonboz7585
      @jonboz7585 10 місяців тому

@@larrymarcus3176 Excellent info. I just got a squatty potty, so I’ll give it a try. I suspect I’ll end up following your suggestions about using abdominal muscles and gently pushing to get things moving. I take Miralax every day, and drink 7-8 glasses of water, as well. I need to develop patience, and wait until the right time to sit on the toilet, rather than sitting for 30 minutes on the potty. Time to develop better habits. Thanks for your suggestions.

I am curious if you would discuss the grooming, of butt hair. Kevin Leonardo has been doing some videos on hair removal of the butt crack. Perhaps a trained medical professional could discuss it better. Specifically, as a guy, my butt hair can get so hairly the fecal matter sticks to it too much. I use baby wipes, but a less hair butt by trimming or using creams seem to work best.

Another win for us. Got my hard stool out yesterday which was stuck for 3 days. I took Miralax and ate nothing but Raisin Bran cereal (no milk). But those 2 wont be enough alone sadly b/c the stool can be very clay-like so I had to use an irragator with water. Its basically the same concept like Enema just stick inside and pump the water inside the anus to make the poo wet. Already hard poo will never get water b/c the body/intestine will absorb it. Basically we have to supply the old poo with water ourselves and then just push till its out. Miralax and eating fiber will cure the hemorrhoids for sure, even after the hard stool was out my butt is in little to no pain.

I found that using water ie enema helped me to easily evcuate the poop. But that got me wondering what is the cause of the friction. Im thinking its a lack of hydration and maybe mucosa to help slide out the poop.
You see when you strain to push it out you make many new problems.

Like 8 pieces in one day... and apparently, the thing that made MY bottom attacked by one of these... was wheat flour... my stomach stops when that happens.

When there is pain even after relaxing and passing stool, then what could be the issue? I don't have an anal fissure because when the stool passes that "blockage area," it feels fine. I am also constantly going---20-30 times a day. My specialist can't see me for another 3 weeks!!! I feel horrible and have lost 10 pounds in two weeks.

Doctor, I tried to send a mail to you. But I didn't send it. Because your address wasn't correct. I am going to copy my mail here. Please answer me.
    Dear Dr. Chung,
I am a viewer of your UA-cam channel. I learned many things from your videos. Let me tell you my story. I am a 33-year-old woman and the mother of two children. Six years ago, I got blood in my poop, and I was found to have anal papilla. Afterwards, I started to take the foods, which made the poop easier. I didn't feel blood in my poop any more. I was fine.
However, this year I got a butt abscess, and doctors diagnosed that I have an anal fistula. The doctor now suggests I have to do a coloscopy to check why I have the problem in this area. I want to ask you: should I get a coloscopy now? I am afraid about the coloscopy, and I think my age is not suitable for the test.
Please answer me. What should I do? I would be very grateful if you could give me your valuable advice.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Best Regards
    Sabrina Rahman
