Kingdom Death: Stamped Glaive Xell & Lunar Aya!

- Been a while since I did a Kingdom Death video. Not sure why I stopped either. I think I got distracted with the Gamblers Chest and have slowly been working my way through it.
Not that the Chest stopped the regular production of new models by any means. Xell and this version of Aya are just the latest models in plastic before the arrival of the Black Knight expansion and who knows what else is joining the Butcher- we'll soon see!
Xell was a real solid model that I wish the cape was easily left off for painting, but her head and arm connections are part of it sadly.
Aya is pretty straightforward, just with some thin and delicate pieces to be cautious of when removing.
Hopefully this video is the kick in the pants I need to get back to showing these models off!

I often find putting KDM models together frustrating-my skill level at assembling doesn’t seem to be improving. But I still find them compelling, so I have a stack of boxes (not 100 😁) I need to summon up the courage to tackle!
Buy a bottle of Tamiya Extra Thin Cement and a bottle of Tamiya Airbrush Cleaner to refill it. Extra Thin is the first tool I bring to the table for plastic. The Airbrush Cleaner is a cheap refill for the bottle. The mix is almost identical (50/50 to 49/50) butyl acetate and acetone.
It isn't a glue, it has no adhesive properties, but chemically welds HIPS plastic together. Bonus: you can also make sprue goo with it, which makes a fantastic plastic filler.
I think you mentioned this before, and naturally the last time I remembered the local store didn't have it. I may have to order some online just to play with it. It does sound like a nice filler. those brushes in the Tamiya bottles make application so much easier as well!

@@ObscuritiesinMiniature I've bought stuff from them online (I'm in the Midwest) and got some good deals. I remember seeing some of the Adam Savage's Tested crew post pics of their shopping trips there.
The teeth armor set looks like an attempt at cosplaying Ravenous from Bot War. He just needs the shoulder strap wings.

Sigh. Always the putty option to close the gap in the cloak.
Still; I really wish these companies have instructions on how to build their minis. Is that so hard to ask?!

Aya is the red head, but almost everyone in Kingdom Death seems to be a red head.
Most of the minis do in fact have the directions up on the website- I've gotten so used to just having to build them blind for years I don't bother to wait. It's mostly the plastics in the boxes so far.
The one you didn’t know is the male lantern guard. Not sure if it’s a photo resin or not.

Also, I don't want to receive KD:M expansions one at a time if the shipping is going to be $20+ a delivery.
Can't blame you. I'm hoping the Black Knight is more an exception than the rule. Hopefully we'll get them bundled up a few at a time.
well neat stuff and yes if ever got one yes a girl on with wel you know and you cant get red testors ? well me i look on line but got some at a shop near me or train shops or mitary shops lot lager shop have em two packs UUUGG $ 7 bucks fore a two pack well see as do yes paint em will see that vid
