  • This is my unboxing and review of the ElectriQ Compact 9000 BTU Small and Powerful Portable Air Conditioner that I purchased from www.appliances...
    • 48 x 51 x 43cm (WxHxD)
    • 24-hour timer function
    • 1.5m hose included
    • Includes remote control
    • Touch control panel
    • 9,000 BTU cooling power
    • Dehumidifier mode - Extracts up to 30L of moisture a day
    • Castors for easy portability
    • Weight - 27kg
    .Costs about 25p an hour
I did my research so many of these units and this was the most reasonably priced and had the efficiency standard (Energy Class A) I was after. This ElectriQ Compact 9000 BTU has been amazing. I am very surprised with quickly it cools the room and for under £400 I think is a great air conditioner.
If you have any questions in regards to the BLU portable Air conditioning unit please leave them in the comments below. As always please support my channel by giving this video a thumbs up and subscribing to my channel.

Great review but not a lot of difference between the two to make me want to buy over the other one I'm very happy with the first one that you done a review on the blu 09 and roughly the same price but nice comparison thanks mark regards Dean 😉👍

You are welcome mate. Like you said ot much difference I just bought that one as it was on offer. The Blu is fantastic they all make roughly the same amount of noise so its just more in the style and shape.

Great review, do you think this will add much to electricity bill at all? Im on the verge of buying it but the potential energy consumption costs are scaring me!

It's hard for me to say. I would say yes definitely you will have an increase, but if you are only using it for days when the temp is extreme then I think it would be ok. All depends on how long you have it on, how often you use it, your electricity costs etc for me when the weather is crazy as it is right now I need to get a good night's sleep otherwise I can't sleep , so I just think it is worth it for a good night's sleep 👍

Hi can you move the "mouth" where it blows out? Since its quite short im assuming its not too great as a fan since you can't really position it blowing towards you? Also I can see from the unboxing the hose is connected to the plastic mount...can the hose be taken off the mount and a new extended hose be used?

Hi, yes I think you are right it's not great as a fan as your can't direct the air very easily without moving the machine. No, you can't move the blades as they are automatic. In regards to the hose, you can't remove it from its plastic mount. Hope that helps you 😊

I got one this week and it cools my largish living room great, the only gripe would be the weight. It’s down to £300 in Appliance Direct right now. Being female, I’m concerned about emptying it but will have to find a way.

do you still prefer the compact one? The Amazon reviews aren't great on it. Or is there another you would now recommend?

@@user-oq9uo6bm6p I think I prefer the smaller unit it's a bit quiter, but overall not much difference. The taller one requires more water emptying but that's about it
