      @simonmarsh5007 that's also good to know. I've not tried Yum as there's just so many products on the market, and professionally they are too expensive to use day to day, even though I'm part time doing this, I have to keep an eye on the financials. I'd definitely use their products if they were light years ahead of something else of course, then the cost is justified.

      @SuperchargedLlama  2 місяці тому +1

      @Izzy111R I can see your point, although I really like that they iterate on their products and don't rest on their laurels. I'd say all of the good brands who actually produce their products (or have their products produced to their formulations) do a lot of iteration. Koch Chemie do it too, but I don't think they're as blatant with it....and maybe they get the results better first time through more extensive product development. I prefer GTs method.

    I always use a drying aid, I like the finish, ease of drying and the top of to the protection. I typically use either a QD or SiO2 spray sealant, which may or may not recommend such use. Not expecting best possible results vs dry application. Have avoided GT spray sealants due to over complicated application process, but would grab a bottle of this to use as you have.

    • @SuperchargedLlama

      That one was a Detailers United one - I would say that you'd want to use your cheaper drying towels for this because they'll need washing after this in order to remove the product from it (same with any hydrophobic product btw). The best solution I've found is actually dunking the cloth in Rinseless afterwards, if you don't want to wash them straight away. But then, if course, you've got an absolutely sodden twisted loop drying towel and it would have easier to wash it in the machine.

    • @SuperchargedLlama
      @SuperchargedLlama  2 місяці тому +1

      This is a great question: definitely no need to do it weekly at all. I got 3 months from this being really impressive and it was only by month 4 that it has dropped back. Soooo if you used it once a quarter or something, that looks like it would be sufficient. On every couple of months if you really wanted I guess.
      There's nothing wrong with putting a topper over a ceramic, if anything it helps increase it's lifespan actually, although I've always gotten to the point when I then couldn't tell if it was the topper I was seeing the performance of, or the coating 🤔
      Fortunately with this product it is, at least, not going to be hiding the hydrophobrics and clogging the coating as it's so good in it's own right.
