    Excellent presentation with schematic and actual photos/video. This is how all hydraulic training should be.

    Great success. The joy of fixing something and getting it back up and running. I have a Hyundai that drifts down so I have test some stuff tomorrow.

    Nice work. I have seen the cylinders damaged like that but never seen fragments in the system. I worked at Raymond in LA, CA. for over 20 years.

    I have something similar on an ES-B Easi reach truck three motor. The check valve on the reach manifold was also clogged with debris. Cleaned it and fixed the issue, but also noticed it does not retract while forks are on a load. You hear the aux motor running and can feel the hydraulic hoses flexing with pressure. Without a load it retracts, but does not fully nest. Could it be the reach valve that's clogged as well?

    Nice Troubleshoot! Have Question ,if the check was ok and the cylinder (reach) was ok and the same thing happen, where do you think you would look next?

    • @forkliftgeek10
      @forkliftgeek10  3 роки тому

      Based on the hydraulic schematic the only other possibility would be a crack in the manifold allowing the flow to both tilt and reach cylinders.

    I have a Raymond DR25TT, the steering orbital acts like it is not getting enough fluid. When the back is lifted and there is no weight on the unit, I can turn the wheel with the key off and you can feel it keep stopping while turning it. When the key is on same issue just amplified because the pump is on. Seems like the same issue I just don't know where the one way valve is for this section

    • @forkliftgeek10
      @forkliftgeek10  2 роки тому

      The one way valve would be in the return section of the orbitrol. Be aware though that a mechanical binding on the drive unit steer ring or in the hydraulic steer motor would produce the same symptom or if the pump is worn.

    I’m a new mechanic to forklifts. I tried diagnosing a reach truck that would extend whenever I tried to side shift to the right, or retract whenever I side shifted to the left. Tilt and lift are working just fine. Could it also be the one way CV or would it have to do with the OTM cables? Thanks!

    • @forkliftgeek10
      @forkliftgeek10  Рік тому +1

      Unplug the solenoid for the side shift and see if it still does it. If it doesn't then it's possible to be the cable or joystick.

    I know this is an "old" video, but I have a similar issue that seems to have popped up out of the blue on my R45TT. When using the reach, tilt, or sideshift, the forks will briefly go up an inch or two. Perhaps coincidently, I raised the forks all the way up and tilted back the day before. Any ideas?

    • @forkliftgeek10
      @forkliftgeek10  Рік тому

      The lift hydraulic circuit is separate from the auxiliary functions. I would check the joystick.

    • @jbierling
      @jbierling Рік тому

      @@forkliftgeek10 thanks for the reply. Yeah, from the diagrams you had in your video it seemed the lift was separate. One other thing I noticed just now, if I lower the mast just slightly, the next tilt/shift/reach will not raise the mast. The second tilt/shift/reach will. If I keep lowering the mast before using the joystick tilt/shift/reach, there isn't ever an uncommanded lift. Still think it is the joystick?
      Edit: One other thing, a lift will have the same effect, but it has to be a substantial lift, not a small one.

    • @forkliftgeek10
      @forkliftgeek10  Рік тому

      The first thing to do is to make sure the vsm is not receiving a signal from the joystick when it is not supposed to. This is to determine if you have a control problem or a hydraulic ( mechanical) problem.

      @@forkliftgeek10 Would you happen to know where the maintenance manual for this might be found? I've only been able to find manuals for similar but not the exact. Also, I could be wrong, but it seems @jemuelvelarde7199 mentioned the same problem as me in the comments for your Encoders on Raymond Easi video. They mention the cold, and while I'm not using mine for cold storage, it is about 55F right now.

    • @forkliftgeek10
      @forkliftgeek10  3 роки тому +1

      If it feels like it's dragging check the brakes. If it is slow and feels like the motor is chattering check the encoder. If it feels normal but just driving slow check height switch (if equipped)

      @@forkliftgeek10 okay I'll check all that because all it does is move forward on it's own but slowly and if I hold the handle back to reverse it still feels like it's trying to move forward on it's own. Be right back bro

      Ok, if power steering is working then the pump is out of the question. If non of the overmast hoses flex when you operate the auxiliary functions then I would look into the directional valve solenoids and wiring for them.

    Greetings friends, how are you? I've got a problem with the extension!! When I flip the switch I hear the solenoid activate but the hydraulic motor is not running, is there any suiche that makes the motor turn on when doing the tilt or extension?

    • @forkliftgeek10
      @forkliftgeek10  5 місяців тому

      The design of the circuit would be different from model to model and brand to brand. If your truck is the same as in the video, if the motor does not run check the contactor and also the motor brushes (if DC).
