Thank you for all the work you do! I have learned a ton from you, both about HVAC and how to deal with customers.
Glad the videos help
Hi Curtis I missed your Q&A
I wanted to let you know I'm 75 and my a/c went out .. My condenser moter went . So I changed the motor 2 capacitors and a contactor.
While it was down cleaned the coil and took out the blower motor and cleaned it and everything is working great.
Thank you so much for your videos they have saved me thousands and I impressed my wife.
that's awesome John...I too have learned alot from hvac guy and it's surprising how easy most of the work is
Sorry I missed the Q&A, I've got a R 22 system. Air Handler 1983 Rheem. 2010 Payne Heat Pump. My N-coil has a TXV on it. Retired Steamfitter, HVACR since 1970. I noticed a few bubbles in my Sporlan sight glass. I'd like to clear that sight glass. Glad I retired in 2012, what Refrigerant would you recommend. This is totally crazy, what you tradesmen are going through on this refrigerant.
300.5(D)(1) Emerging from Grade. Direct-buried conductors and cables emerging from grade and specified in columns 1 and 4 of Table 300.5 shall be protected by enclosures or race-ways extending from the minimum cover distance below grade required by 300.5(A) to a point at least 2.5 m (8 ft) above finished grade. In no case shall the protection be required to exceed 450 mm (18 in.) below finished grade.'
If you change out another DISCONNECT boss, please keep this NEC in mind. Leaving any exposed wire below 8' is dangerous. Keep up the good work.
You said you would like being an electrician. I’m an electrician and would rather be a hvac guy to be honest. Love watching your videos. I think you have some of the best edited videos from any other hvac tech channels. You definitely got a promising future in youtube
Thanks
Sorry I missed your Q&A Curtis. Hope you're having another one soon.
Thank you I learned a lot from you . But I'm a diesel tech /Mechanic . But A/C is almost the same .on semi tractor .
I love your videos man. Keep up the good work. Been doing a/c since 97 but can always learn.
Hi Curtis! Sorry I Missed your Live Q & A. 👍🙏
Hello, from north GA, I really enjoy the content.
Hey, thanks!
Hello from Padre island, Corpus Christi Texas!!
Sorry I was called to dinner and missed the live, but I still enjoyed the video. It was more enjoyable than your earlier Trane frustration. They seem determined to make HVAC more difficult than it needs to be.
When I bought a couple of spare capacitors for our new Goodman (sorry, it's what we were sold before I knew better), I made sure to get Made in USA.
Thanks for being a class act.
I always get a laugh when you use self tapping screws..😂 over/under 7 tries.. enjoy your content!
What is your camera set up? Love you videos and I was just curious what camera, etc that you use to shoot the videos. Keep up the great videos!! Watch everyday
GoPro hero 12
I appreciate your content brotha!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Alot of these newer guys need to learn airflow and static pressure before learning technical work. Just my two cents
I enjoy your videos, I have always been interested in air conditioners, can I use any other coolant other than R22 in my old unit?
Yes you can, but you can’t mix them
I have learned a lot watching your videos thank you
Glad to hear it
Where can a homeowner buy cheap HVAC parts?
I love your channel. One think your talking volume is too low when your repairing
Thank you god bless you
Hey Curtis! What leak detector would you recommend for an up and coming technician? Had my eyes set on the DR 82. what’s ur opinion on it? Thanks for content 👍
I haven’t really used the DR82
You are in GA ? Thomaston/Macon area here
Nooo I missed the live show!
What program do you use for accounting and filling out estimates and tracking material
QuickBooks Online
How are you liking the Gree system you installed?
It’s fabulous
Thanks Curtis
Please explain how to charge an HVAC system using sub-cooling.
First make sure the metering device is a TXV.
If it is, hook up your gauges.
Let the system run for 15 minutes.
Then look at your condensing temperature.
Then get the liquid line temperature outside by the outdoor unit. If there's a filter drier outside on the Liquid Line, get your line temp downstream from (after) the drier.
Find the difference of the 2 temps.
Next check the manufacturer's charging chart to find your Target subcooling.
If your subcooling is low, add refrigerant & leak search the system.
If your subcooling is high, recover refrigerant until you meet your target.
How do customers feel about you filming in there home?
How hard is it to get contractor license in your state?
Not easy
