- After Ashley (Colby Minifie) tells Homelander (Antony Starr) about Blindspot (Chris Mark) joining The Seven, they watch Blindspot train, but Homelander hits him, making him lose his hearing. Then he says he'll pick who's in The Seven.
From Season 2, Episode 01: "The Big Ride"
Watch The Boys on Amazon Prime Video: AAN.SonyPictures.com/TheBoys
Superheroes are often as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and sometimes even as revered as gods. But that's when they're using their powers for good. What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. Based on the comic book series of the same name.

Considering he hasn't been seen or mentioned since this episode, he likely died from bleeding out of his ears.
Given the guy is still juiced via Compound V he probably lived, but not like a blind/deaf guy is going to be something brought up afterwards anymore, that careers simply over.
Do you know, daredevil recovered from his own deafness, even trained to recover abilities, even after the explosion underneath Manhattan when he was fighting the hand and a resurrected Electra
If he has Compoud v then we just got an accelerated healing factor so my guess is he probably survived he’s just recovering maybe
The fact no one here knows you referenced MK1 😭
Hopefully, he'd be living in perpetual darkness if not
This might be my fave scene in the whole show. Homelander is being so warm and kind then suddenly turns into a violent psychopath. Very powerful scene and excellent work from anthony star.
Antony* sorry he literally hates that everyone does that to him so best we get to know his real name. But also love this scene and his work
Once you’ve come to understand homelanders personality, you realize that him doing this wasn’t even personal, it was just to prove a point. A lot of the the violent acts he commits is because in his head it’s a necessity
He's not a psychopath he's a narcissistic sociopath. They're much more dangerous. What he did here wasn't premeditated, as it would have been if he were a psychopath, it was reactionary. He lost control in the moment and acted on impulse.
"Sociopaths are usually incapable of anything even remotely resembling a normal work or family life, and, in comparison to psychopaths, they are exceptionally impulsive and erratic and more prone to rage or violent outbursts. Accordingly, their criminal activities tend to be spur-of-the-moment rather than carefully premeditated."
Blindspot would've been perfect. He's like a knockoff version of DareDevil.
In homelanders defence it was kind of a good test. That guy is clearly not strong enough to be on the seven. It didn’t kill him and he didn’t even go unconscious so it wouldn’t be enough to permanently destroy the ear canal. Homelander could have killed the guy if he wanted to.
He never saw it coming
😂 😂
/rimshot
I see what you did there... but he didn't
Neither did Ray Charles. Or Stevie Wonder.
@@Tygearianus Oh shit...too much 🤣😂😂
This just shows how unpredictable Homelander is, there is no "safe" way to deal with him; defy him? he might kill you, praise him? he might kill you...just interact with him and hope for the best (Hughie)
Or just don't interact with him at all. Sometimes it's just better to not say anything and avoid people with the same mentality like Homelander lol.
Just say “oi” and then let him turn around so you can laser him
Textbook narcissistic sociopath.
Or just call him bad product and watch him stew 😂

Superman vs Daredevil summed up right here....
No one cares what matters more is the story, Superman’s has been garbage lately

Ok joker
Narcissist love to say that
He indeed hit in a blind spot
He landed it… home
That's Deep! 👍
Homelander already has super hearing so Blindspot is useless
And? Homelander is only one dude
Yeah and besides I doubt Vought trusts him at all
@@captainflowers748 And?
@@coolfella9745 and what?
@@captainflowers748 not just any one dude…one very strong dude.
This was so evil. Imagine training your whole life, and then your hero, maybe even the person who inspired you to work harder, takes everything you’ve worked for away by not just rejecting you, but disabling you. Losing the ability to hear on top of being blind is taking away a whole world! And now he has to build up his new world almost from scratch, how he will navigate the world as deaf blind. :( And idk how much the V in his blood will protect him, but possible brain damage and balance problems.
Yes you just described the scene perfectly for those who can't see, God bless your soul
@@ch4rbThey are explaining the narrative implications that make the scene more gritty and horrid. Dont be obtuse just to be mean. I appreciate the break down OC
@@RavenDreadful 👍
Homelander exposed his weakness.
@@TheStraightestWhitest His weakness was that Homelander could kill him?
I’m so glad this is the Brutality for Homelander, and when you do it specifically to Kenshi, he says the line like he says to Blindspot
Honestly I did that in an online match and it had me rolling
what does he say
@@ivaerz4977 “Another useless fucking blind guy”?
@@Frozenhalo it’s well done
@@ivaerz4977 he said “another useless f**king blind guy”
Sad fact that it wasn't even about Blindspot himself, Homelander could disable anyone from Seven singlehanded. It's just about stating the authority to Ashley.
I was just thinking that. Like, who else would “do this?” They don’t even fight other supes 99% of the time
@@FunandStuff88 To be fair, they are replacing heroes after someone like Translucent died. Butcher would have rekt this guy so easily that he wouldn't have even been a challenge.
Idk why but I never realized this is their version of daredevil lol
Was lol
@@cooldj06 lmao
At least Blind Spot couldn’t hear his Hero call Him “Another Useless Blind guy”
I know it’s a fictional show, but just imagining this kid living the rest of his life in pitch blackness AND utter silence for the rest of his life, is heart wrenching. All for meeting his “hero.”
A fate more cruel than death.
Homelander’s dripfed back story gives you slithers of sympathy for him, an understanding of why he is the way he is. It takes rewatching his crash reel of horrific brutality to remind you he is a stone cold sadist.
antony starr is such an amazing actor
"I just have one question if that's okay..."
So that’s
Where that
Ashley look at me trend came from
That amount of blood out of just his right ear alone (since there is no blood trail down his face or left arm), would suggest Homelander actually ruptured vessels in his brain itself.
He very likely bled out of his brain, and died like a massive aneurysm.
Also as Homelander and Ashley speak, his screams muffle and trail off but don't entirely leave, until a final gasp after Homelander says "Ashley! LOOK! AT! ME!" right before stepping over him.
So he likely fell into unconscious from blood loss, went into shock and died
Homelander is the best of all of us.
Man Starr is a hell of an actor!!
Can't even tell he's a New Zealander
I watch these little clips on youtube and think what a sick fucking show.
Homelander the hero we deserve
1:49 super spit
I am SO looking forward to Homelander getting an asswhopping….
SAME HERE DAWG, SAME HERE
I want him to just get off Scot free to see people seethe 😂
If you have Mortal Kombat 1, sic Kenshi on him, hit him with a Fatality.
“I’m sorry, what was it you were saying about me being “another useless fucking blind guy””?
Herogasim
@@TheStraightestWhitest Why?
"Ashley, look at me. I'm the captain now."
Well don’t drive in my blind spot and i wont crash into you
Homelander is such a nice and considerate person. He was only curious if Blindspot was strong enough to be in the Se7en. He was even nice enough to show his skill in self control over his strength by not completely crushing Blindspot's head with that clap. What a G.
"That hits the spot"
“What kind of animal are you? You like attacking your own kind?”
Meanwhile he has countless supe lives under his belt
Homelander sure humbled Blindspot.
So this is where that famous sound clip came from lol 😆
Technically Homelander can do that to someone with normal vision and the victim would still be incapacitated and it would take very little effort to also blind or outright kill the person in the same move.
He did way more than hit him 😂
Mortal Kombat brutality xD
Last chance to look at me Ashley
AHHH!!
Homie was just in one of those moods, if blind spot had had super eyes, homie would have poked em out
Archer: mappp, mawppp, mapppp
It looks like homelander found his blind spot.
Wonder if he heard it coming. 👂
And thus a Meme was born. (and even in MK 1 )
He never saw it coming.
Now he can't see and hear , he can't even hear what he is talking. How to live his life ?
Homelander, protecting the world. Sorry it had to be done to ensure people stayed safe. You understand.
It’s giving frat boy gigachad lmao
As awful as that was to prove his point, he does have a point. Imagine beating a hero simply just by blasting loud music.
I think having Blind Spot in the 7 would have been a really good idea.
Probably anyone would be better than Stormfront
Two things, Homelander already has super hearing. He would be a threat to Homelander because of his super hearing.
Ashley was SOOO proud of herself in the scene🤣🤣🤣
Homelanders real superpower is sarcasm.
It's like Superman injured Daredevil.
Why did this scene become a meme? And I swear everyone in the Philippines is obsessed with it. It's literally just a scene.
I still want to see Starr take a Wesker role
Darkest impluse:
Homelander: Done ✅
1:22
Omni-Man: "sigh" Am going to feed you your own ears.
Also great in Banshee🧐
So, being only vaguely familiar with the series, is Homeowner's violent psychosis the result of the Serum V, or is he just a nut, or a bit of both?
He's a narcissistic sociopath because he was "raised" in a lab by scientists who routinely tortured him, both physically and mentally, for the first 16 years of his life. Like all humans, he's the monster created by his childhood.
Its a result of his upbringing.
Homelander was a test tube baby raised by uncaring corporate overlords to be the face of superheroes everywhere.
Surprise surprise raising someone's in a lab and subjecting them to horrific tests does not make a healthy human being.
it's sad. It would be interesting to hear the dialogues between blindspot and noir.
bro is few years late
When Homelander could have just turned him down. He had to kill the kid, whom has done nothing wrong to offend his hero, to make an example to Ashley.
Homelander is sick! A total asshole but at the same time cool!
What a boss.
I always wondered who liked daredevil
Almost reminds me of Anthony Stark 🤭🤔

what happens if i do THIS!
👋 👂 😖 👂 👋
To this day I'm still wondering, whatever happened to him after that? Did he die from the blood loss, or is he still alive?
Probably dead but if he survived he would be living in hell. Being blind and deaf is just hellish
@@footballfan283 he's a modern Helen Keller! 😭
Pretty sure you can die from that type injury.
Unless there was also brain damage, and bleeding into his brain cavity.
Plothole - Blindspot should've noticed the change in his demeanor and dodged.
I guess he would've ignored it being a dumb dumb without any real fighting experience.
Damn...
Thing is, he's not wrong. Super hearing really isn't a superpower that is much use except in certain circumstances...and it's easily counteracted.
This is probably one of the best scenes in the show.
supermen going psycho - is it a tendency in modern cinema?
What is homelander's problem? Doesn’t he want more soldiers in his army if he wants to become the most powerful supe in the world while all of a sudden being disabled puts you at the bottom of the list
Bro he doesn’t need a supe army he himself equal to all subs combined
He himself could take out the Seven if he wanted to, he just keeps them around to boost his image, his ego. He doesn't want a blind dude affecting his image. For him, disabled = weak
His problem is that he's a narcissistic sociopath. For starters, the cripple would take some of the limelight off of Homelander, and not being the most important person in the room is deeply painful for a narcissistic sociopath. He wants an army of people who don't outshine him.
But only so he can be in charge of them and bully them, to make himself even more grandiose.
He doesn't actually _need_ them to be an army, he just wants a toy.
@@fredmercury1314 true bro btw is there any chance for his redemption arc cause I don’t think so it will ever happen 🫠
@@Phantom_AF He's fundamentally and irreparably psychologically broken.
I can't really see Homelander spending 30 years in therapy, and learning to recognize and try to overcome his dark behaviors.
Outside of killing everyone who messed him up, I doubt he's going to have a redemption arc.
I kinda felt a little bad laughing at this, but I still laughed. It's probably a good thing for the World that I don't have his powers- I'd probably end up a Villain.
This scene is completely out of character for Homelander at this point. It was for pure shock value to start the season 2. He was not as unhinged and reckless at this point in the show. I mean come on how does he expect Vought to clean up this mess realistically? It was never explained how a generic company like Vought cleaned up the mutiliating and killing of a supe. Has noone looked for him? And why did Homelander take this risk? There was 0 point to risk anything. Just tell Ashley to kick BLindspot out. THe later seasons showed us that Homelander is getting more and more unhinged every season but here it wasn't definitely time for this.
I hope Blindspot comes back as one of 'The Boys', and gets a chance to get back at Homelander with their help.
Bruh, if I was Blindspot, I'd rather he just pancaked my entire head... this is far worse than death.
if he has V, he might be able to heal some of the damage. But looked like he was dead right there so maybe not.
He is more evil in the comic lol
I guess we can safely say that DareDevil has no chance at beating Superman.
God... I looooooove Homelander. Please make him president.
Wow. I think "Asshole" doesn't begin to put it...
This guy's no super hero he's a super zero
You’re our only super zero….sub…zero
Daredevil vs Superman
Well, this is just plain obvious 🙄, yeah 😏.. what a jerk..
Homelanders patronizing of blind spot is actually worse than what he did to him.
Uhm I suspect Blindspot would not agree. Harsh words over physical harm.
Can homelander from the boys series beats loki from marvel cinematic universe (before Loki series)?
Before the Loki series S2 finale? Effortlessly. Loki got clapped by humans even in S1 of Loki.
Pfft no, Loki is stronger, smarter, and faster than Homelander.

My ears when i hear mumble rap.
Why Homelander is so relatable??
because the internet let all the psychopaths find each other and now any psychopathic opinion can be viewed and considered based by fellow psychopaths, further reinforcing their own and the group's psycopathy.
You can reject the blind dude without deafening him and destroying his entire world lmao. Just include a superhearing test as part of the superhero entry exam.
He got rid of this guy but kept an actor for Black Noir.
Look at me 😅😅😅
Funny to hurt a cripple. 😂😂
I miss the old homelander who was a villian in control of his emotions. Now, he comes of as immature.
Dude...love u homelander
Having very sensitive hearing is more of a weakness than a strength. Probably any very loud sound could overload his senses or incapacitate him.
I love homelander for this
Show started out good but like everything else just went a little to hard on the gay stuff,no pun intended 😂
Yeah it’s scenes like this that make me not watch the show anymore. Call me sensitive but it’s been way too long and too much grotesque violence like this without any consequence that made me quit the show and just wait for the episode where homelander dies horrifically just for cathartic justice. Its almost starting to feel like the show writers are glorifying homelander and his nonsense. I get they might think they are just hyping him up so much to get people invested enough to watch the show all the way through until the episode where he dies, cause everyone will enjoy seeing that. I just don’t want to see any more of the gruesome and obviously evil behavior in between. I’ve had my fill after 2 seasons. Call me when he’s dead thanks.
Most sociopathic narcissists never face justice.
@@fredmercury1314 assuming most commit crimes even close to this scale, I doubt that’s true. And even if it is, it doesn’t make it a show I want to watch.
@@theminuteman7611 They tend to mostly work on a lower level of abuse, but Homelander is a really great and accurate depiction on one such person... If they had the power they'd like to have.
Honestly, even tho Homelander was a dick for doing this, Blindspot couldn't do much against those high pitch noise devices that hurt supes.
It would be awesome if not only he fully recovers but delivers the death blow to homelander in season 4
