I still adore this. No music, no fanfare. Just Tennant finally getting to take the character for a spin. Brilliant characterisation from the start. Simple, allowing the dialogue to breathe. It's not like series 11 and 12 where the music drowns out the dialogue (that is poorly written anyway)

Seems forced at first in the first series, but as it progresses you feel sad when rose is lost, now he never said he loves her so we'll never know for sure. But while I strongly would like that. I think as time went on he was able to move on over rose & his affection died down, he saw an opportunity with the meta crisis doctor. Let her have him & walked off so those two could fall in love, which in they comics they do & have a daughter. So that's what I think but as there is so much little information for ether side your able to come to your own conclusions which I think was the intention in that way they succeeded.

So thats what he says. I am an american and I could not understand his accent. Also does not help he is Scottish and doing an English accent. I thought he said mickey yellow.

I really wish they hadn't cut Ten's response to "landslide victory" by saying "Fantastic" then deciding he doesn't like that word because of his new teeth... Would give anything to see that!

I want Domhnall Gleeson as the first ginger doctor. He played General Hux in Star Wars and AA Milne in Goodbye Christopher Robin.
Edit: I can easily see his Doctor persona being a mixture of Smith and Capaldi.

Off screen, but the Seventh Doctor does mention it in his audio story with the Sycorax (which, obviously was filmed long after The Christmas Invasion aired)

I am just watching the Doctor in these past months for the first time. Watched three series. And the thing I absolutely love the most is how the passage between Nine and Ten was written (and acted of course). I loved Nine and in a certain sense you feel he's always there in Ten. And we literally come to this awareness along with Rose, same emotional journey. ❤
I only found out recently that the leader of the Sycorax was played by the guy who was Paddy McGuire in Shameless. He did such an amazing job!

It’s the symbolism of an incarnation, but not an incarnation himself.
"Brendon" was the story of the timeless child and the true origin of the time lords - hidden in the matrix under a filter to make it the story of "Brendon". He was never actually a regeneration of the Doctor.
This single scene is better written than the entire last two seasons. I wish I was exaggerating.

Man, the more I rewatch this shown the more I feel silly recommend it to others people. This is the kind of shown that you must find it yourself to see it good or else it would just be a bunch of goofy joke with no sense. I still like to watch it, thought. But for the comedy and laughing effect, not for serious materials.
