The bass line underneath the second guitar solo at 2.50 is so great......it always distracted me from the guitar solo itself..... even when guitar was my actual instrument if I listened to Iron Maiden I would pay attention to the bass all the time......and whenever I watched Them live I could only see Steve 😂

I love those Extended power chords you do at the beginning of the song when everything starts to kick in. Talk about fattening up the sound. As a side note: I have wondered if Marcus Miller played like this but with his bass tone. I wonder what that would do.

Hi Didier, ALEX again. Think it’s the 1st time I saw you cover this. Absolutely brilliant! I tried it too as a teen, but the way you hit and ring the notes, the nuances, extraordinary. . If one didn’t know, one wouldn’t realise how you throw in the the occasional open notes. Fabulous 🙏

I haven't had much trouble stamina-wise, but the intro gives me fits with my right hand! Getting it to sound smooth like this is taking some time... Guess it's time for the metronome!

Hi Didier. Superb job! I'm far beyond your skills but I'm just thinking to record a bass cover of my own (for TNOTB). One question... How do you nail the starting of the song? As the bass starts right away, no drums or anything else prior to that. Do you have some click track added and then edited out, or how do you manage this? (actually this problem(?) is relevant for many other songs as well)

Hi Didier, ever get copyright strikes for simply mixing the original track too loud into the video? I often have to make it really not as loud as you in order to not have video blocked for copyright.

As I often do, I gathered all the genuine tracks and mixed them with MY OWN bass line. Steve does not exist on this cover. I simply did not use his track at all. Your comment pleases me then, for you thought it was Steve himself ;)
