- In this video I show my tattoo process for a minimalist rose tattoo on the inner forearm. This tattoo was done in one short, three and a half hour sitting. This isn't a style I do often, but I do enjoy stuff like this quite a bit. Thanks for watching!

Getting my first tattoo October 5th, you've been such a pal, thanks for all the content and info, I know you said dr. Numb doesnt do much but I'm pretty scared and I've heard other people say great things so I'm givin it a shot
you're welcome man just make sure u eat before u go. that's better than any numbing product it makes a huge difference in how uncomfortable the tattoo is
I agree with what James said after having my first tattoo two days ago. Eating and staying hydrated really helped. I also made sure I had a decent night sleep the night before. Good luck, you'll be fine!

I have clients leave it on for 3 or 4 days then use lotion after. It works well for beginners although the conventional method is better overall imo

Do you at any given time will be or want to be a guest tattoo artist in germany? Your tattoos are amazing, really great quality. I really like to get a tattoo from you, but I can't afford traveling to Arizona in addition to spending a good amount of money for a quality piece of work.
Is this considered a color tattoo and would that technique look the same on darker skin or would it have to be bolder like the reference picture?
its a fusion between blackwork and color. but i only used one color. sure, i think it would look good on darker skin too

Nice! How long does a fine line tattoo like this last before it need s touch-up?
this one might need the reds touched up in a couple of decades, but it's hard to say for sure that it will or won't. every pigment is different and this is not just a straight red. it's more of a maroon. as far as fine line tattoos in general, they age well as long as the lines aren't too close together. that can't be touched up. once they blur they blur for good.

Hi James, please help i have a question for you. ( I've searched all over for an answer to this but it seems no one has ever posted about it...) So i had my tattoo shaded last weekend (after healing for 3 weeks), and i was on antibiotics, but only told my artist when he was halfway and he mentioned it might affect my healing process. Now looking at my tattoo, it feels crusty like a dry sore (even after putting the tattoo lotion on it, it feels like a scar). Should i brace myself for the worst or am i being paranoid? Please make a video about how being on antibiotics affects or impacts a tattoo, please. Thank you.
zinhle nkosi honestly I’ve never heard of antibiotics affecting a heal negatively. If your tattoo is still crusty after a few weeks then it’s just not done healing yet. Usually peeling and flaking is done after a week or two but it’s possible that your tattoo was overworked or that you have skin that’s more sensitive than normal. I would continue to put lotion on it a few times a day for the next few weeks then reevaluate it after a total of 2 months has past. It should be fairly settled in the skin after that. When in doubt ask your artist though as they will know more about that tattoo than I would. If it becomes a more serious medical issues, see a doctor.

Would you recommend a fine line tattoo for a potential client, who has darker brown skin tone? I've seen countless photos of fine line tattoos. They were all on fair-skinned and light-skinned people.
MimiLuvs if you’re pretty dark u might wanna go with a bolder style. It will be less legible on u in general but it is all situational so pick a good artist and ask their advice for the specific idea and placement

i check all of my inexpensive stuff. it's all organized in clear boxes that are labeled as sterile tattoo equipment. my carry on has a few tattoo machines but they never sweat me
@@JamesWithee TSA swiped one of my setups had just purchased for a buddy of mine from Puerto Vallarta, I had ink and a bundle of sterilized needles all new stuff,so I went to set up a complaint and they said its against their policy have a locked box with unknown substances, box was clearly labeled at such, tattoo equipment and 1oz inks and needle bundles.the thing even had one side that was clear glass so they wouldn't open it. I didnt want their nasty ass hand all over my shit
Yobany Salazar Yah they prolly just stole it and made up an excuse. Maybe if it was in a locked box inside of a checked bag that was the difference. My shit is in semitransparent tackle boxes for fishing gear that just have plastic thumb latches. The large writing that says sterile tattoo equipment are meant to discourage them from touching the shit inside but I know they’ve tampered with them at least once. I guess that’s not too bad considering they’ve been thru dozens of trips. My suitcase is also EXTREMELY organized and only contains convention gear instead of being mixed with personal items so I think that also helps. When I was locked up I learned that cops search less thoroughly if your cell is really organized so tsa agents are prolly the same considering they are just COs with different badges.
I love flower tattoos they’re so beautiful, but do you ever get tired of doing flowers?
it depends on what kind. some are pretty tedious cuz they are really disorganized and illegible. but for the most part, flowers are one of the few things i don't get sick of. they're really fun
