    As a Trumper I love you guys. As a Trumper even I had a relatively suspect opinion of Jared from hearing quick opinions from many in the news and those online who really didn’t know shit about him He was made out to be the Boogeyman! He is absolutely not. He is kind and thoughtful and I’m so grateful he represented us and continues to do so in the private world . I hope he is involved again in a 2024 Trump administration…. Gosh he’s smart. Ivanka chose an incredible man to be her partner in life. Great questions guys. Thank you. 😊

      The last 2 shows have been a disappointment and biased. They have been denouncing Palestinian supporters and supporting Israel which has been killing thousands of children and civilians. They have lost credibility in my view because they couldn’t identify the oppressed and the oppressor.

    • @nivschechter68
      @nivschechter68 10 місяців тому +6

      @lwjen2 they raised exactly that point of not fall to the binary oppressed vs oppressor scheme. They've been quite loud against the harsh Israeli military response while acknowledging that the Israelis must react to such a heinace terror attack. It's been a nuanced approach so probably got heat from both sides.

      This was so hard to listen to .One exchange I had to quit listening:
      David: king of Jordan said there could be no peace without Palestinian state based on 1967 lines.
      Jared: I was asked a “Palestinian negotiator” where did the 1967 lines even come from ? He said: I dunno, it was just a cliche”
      Wtf, really? You don’t think it was based on the lines you invaded after Israel was attacked in 1967? This guy is a dishonest liar.
      And then a minute later he spells it out: “a “state” is a loaded word. We believe Palestinians should govern themselves. No country was attacked 3 times and gave back all the land it took after it won”.

Right after Trump left office Kushner banked 2B from the Saudis. He was Trump's Middle East policy advisor. So he obviously used his time in the WH to make connections and get Saudi investments.

    I'm not an expert on the Israel/Palestine conflict or the Middle East, but normally the real story is somewhere in the middle of the two different narratives. How Jared's opinion was so one-sided and AIP didn't question any of it is quite surprising. I hope the next video will invite a guest who's opinion is on the other side, and AIP will let that person talk just as freely without critique.

I refuse to believe these guys have not seen the images/videos coming out of there, and yet NOT A SINGLE world about how tragic that is. A lot of historical mistakes too, very casually branding Yaser Arafat as a terrorist. Guys, please stick to technology and markets, cause your views on international affairs especially middle east are very ill informed. Also its unfortunate to hear “deal making” kind of strategies to solve this issue. This isn’t a real estate / private equity deal with a start date, renovations and then quick flip. This is a decades long conflict with extreme tragedy involved and you cant decide something without having some emotional empathy for the other side.

Jared clearly had an incredibly one-sided viewpoint on this issue, which is not surprising given his family direct ties to Netanyahu (why wasn't this discussed?). That's fine. But come on, he avoided answering the crux of most questions, yet none of the hosts dug deeper or grilled him even a bit. Why?

    I’ve been a weekly listener, and been with this podcast since its poker playing inception. I’ve always looked up to these folks for being so objective and knowledgeable. When this conflict erupted in this past month, I was hoping they’d be objective, like they always have been. And lol. They show up with Jared Kushner, out of all people. A family friend of the Netanyahu, a big Israel sympathizer and supporter. The whole conversation was extremely Israel centric. Like did you listen to kushner’s opening remarks? Talks about hummus pulling all the shit on October 7th, as though 11,000 Palestinian deaths didn’t happen these past 30 days? Not once did he talk about the 4000 children?
    And none of the speakers challenged anything. They just nodded and agreed. I expected chamath to act better, who himself has witnessed genocide happening in Sri Lanka in the 80’s.
    Super disappointing. They’ve lost an avid listener and follower. I know it barely matters to them, but I hope they read this and hold themselves “intellectually honest” as they often bring up, for f’s sake.

I wish these guys would just stick to their domains of expertise and honestly just remain silent on social and political matters because they very often embarrass themselves. This is an example of that. It's hard to listen to. And frankly, I don't even care if they have kushner or anyone else on there, but they're not even trying to bring on anybody who's an authority on the subject with a perspective from the Palestinian side. They're actually behaving quite sycophantically towards kushner. It's strange to watch.

    At 1:04:17 he lets the cat out of the bag when he admits that Jews, Muslims, and Christian’s all lived peacefully together in the Middle East until after world war 2. So the idea that the Palestinians hate Israelis because they are Jews is bullshit. The reality is that the Jews who had fled to the Middle East and were taken in graciously by the people already there (Palestinians) decided that living at peace with the Muslims and Christians far from the part of Europe that had tried to annihilate them now wasn’t good enough and now they wanted a Jewish-only state and were willing to do anything including annex land from the people who had been kind enough to take them in to create it.

It amazes me that no one asked where the people of Palestine are meant to go. These kinds of podcast interviews are pointless when he is not challenged on key missing points about the historical conflict.

    I've been a long time listener of the show. I appreciate the long form discussion today, but felt like it was really one sided. Jared was pushing all the typical Israeli talking points without much challenge at all. I am a Palestinian myself and I did agree with some points Jared made, but many were misrepresentations of the truth or flat out lies with the goal of selling the Israeli narrative.
    I like this pod because, to me, it represents the epitome of intellectual honesty, where opinions and facts are judged based on their merit and not on who said them. Today it felt like Jared was speaking gospel - not once was he challenged. The discussion today was not much better than CNN or other MSM.
    Hamas is a creation of Israel. Netanyahu has boasted about funding them. This was never about Hamas nor the PA, nor was it about Jews vs Muslims. It was always about Jewish supremacy over the entirety of mandatory Palestine - an ethnic land conflict. Even Arab-Israelis do not have the same rights as Jews within the 1948 borders. The PA has made peace with Israel since Oslo, and yet there has been a consistent and systematic settlement and terrorization scheme of Palestinian civilians, as well as thousands of children in Israeli prison without trial. There have been endless murders of innocents in the West Bank over the last decade (where Hamas does not exist) and the modern day Israeli government are radical Judaist as much as Hamas is Islamist. It's one thing to coordinate security over the west bank, and another to push people out of their homes and make new towns and streets where non-Jews are killed on the spot if they visit them, all while Palestinians have to visit a checkpoint every 2 miles just to move about in their own land. Sure, the PA are corrupt, but this is a point that was selectively focused on by Jared specifically to advance the Israeli narrative. The full context of the humiliation and subjugation of the non-Gazan Palestinians by Israel was something never discussed in this pod, which is greatly disappointing.

      Obama could not pull off even a small % that Jared did under the significant positive impact the Trump Administration was having on U.S. foreign policy.

      Disagree. He’s being very biased and trying to make his opinions come off as facts. He lied about the history and hid some key details in order to make his side look better. He’s just a politician… sketchy.

      Thankyou, we need more people saying this. I love this pod but the way they’re ‘dissecting’ this conflict is completely one sided and just shows enormous bias. Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s part of the reason jcal is on a break. Just an echo chamber atm need just one opposing viewpoint please get someone like Norm or Jeff Halpert to give another side to this story. The continuous steelmanning of the Israeli version of history without a mention of what happened and is continuing to happen to the Palestinians is so sad to see.

    "The problem lies with bad leadership". This is very cynical given the fact that the West Bank, which is not controlled by Hamas, is basically an apartheid regime with continuously increasing illegal settlements . Not to mention the fact that Gaza was called an "open air prison" by the UN long before all of this, and would never have an opportunity of real development. At the end of the day, Hamas is a horrible terrorist group, but Netanyahu clearly does not want to solve the problem in a peaceful way, otherwise they would stop those settlements and not kill as many civilians... To simply blame the Palestine is very dishonest, much of the problem also comes from Israelian leadership as well.

    • @tlanimass952
      @tlanimass952 11 місяців тому

      They stopped and removed all settlements from Gaza and let Palestinians govern themselves there... look where it got them. If they do the same to the West Bank they will have two Gazas on each side.

      Netenyahu even bragged about funding Hamas, it causes division allowing them to use the terrorist excuse to come in and occupy more land. It’s crazy how none of this was properly dissected in any way was just like Kushner was presenting history in an Israeli school

    This might be my favourite so far! Jared was a great guest, so incredibly intelligent!!!

  • @Bosskeyyacht44
    @Bosskeyyacht44 10 місяців тому +9

    Having spent my childhood in Gaza, with my family and friends still enduring life there, I find Jared's portrayal of the situation not just inaccurate, but frankly, laughable.
    His claims are a gross misrepresentation. The notion that Gazans should be grateful to the IDF is absurd. Grateful for what, exactly? The devastation of their homes, forced relocations, or the tragic loss of their loved ones?
    Jared's theory that eliminating Hamas equates to freedom for Gazans is a shallow interpretation of history. Let's not forget the period from 1967 to 2005 when Hamas wasn't in control, yet Gazans were far from free. Does he expect Gazans to live like those in the West Bank, as fourth-class citizens under occupation, subject to military courts, and stripped of the right to choose their leaders or govern themselves?
    It's disingenuous how Jared conveniently ignores the problematic facets of Israel's own history. Branding Yasser Arafat as a terrorist while glossing over the terrorist past of Israel's own leaders like Menachem Begin, a man directly involved in heinous acts like the King David Hotel Bombings and an internationally recognized terrorist, reeks of double standards. And let's not forget, Begin is the founder of today's ruling Likud party in Israel.
    'All-in' needs to step up its game. Bringing in someone whose analysis isn't dripping with bias would be a start.
    We need a voice that acknowledges the full spectrum of this long-standing conflict, not just one that echoes a single, one-sided narrative.

    As world events unfold and as things like Kushner get exposure to the Left, liberals are slowly coming to the realization that Trump actually was right on the border and foreign policy. The problem is most liberals cannot begin to admit that to themselves. But it is nice Kushner got to show the Left how incredibly rational, effective, and well-guided Trump’s foreign policy was. And it pains liberals to acknowledge how catastrophically terrible Biden and Obama were in that area.

    I admit Jered is not as loathsome as I once thought he was. However, his takes on the whole Israel/Palestine conflict are incredibly bias and one sided. Which is not surprising seeing as he himself is Jewish with a blatant affinity for Israel. I think people would learn a lot more from someone who is neither Jewish/Israeli or Palestinian/muslim.

    While David S and David F have their merits, it's worth noting that others, particularly Chamath, have biased viewpoints. It's advisable to unsubscribe, as the predominant topic discussed revolves around supporting Israel and other trivial matters. Ultimately, these individuals have investments in companies affiliated with Zionist-based entities, which may influence their vocal stance on the show.
