Would love to try this. No idea how you would actually fight streetfighter-style in VR as a first person game.

First, a Street Fighter VR would be perfectly playable in 3rd person. Maybe release that first if you haven't already. Second, 1st person melee/magic games are a thing and offer mixed result so it's probably doable here but it's not what we expect from Street Fighter.
Hopefully those weren't QTE and more "hit here for more damaging combo" that replaces what were essentially button QTE aka move/combo lists. Also, if it's an arcade perhaps leg tracking is adding allowing full body type combat.
What would be interesting is if there's a mix of 1st and 3rd depending on the combos. Standard 1st person fighting, but if you're grabbed or thrown then you see it happen to your character in 3rd person. Likewise, jumps/spins/certain special moves are shown in 3rd person and the target indicators you can hit with your feet and hands to help you control the character in this portion. That can help it make it feel like Street Fighter.

Stumped there is still no life-sized VR fighting app, where you're actually in stage/arena or crowd. Multiplayer with other combatants/spectators. Can imagine NPC security policing crowd in streetfight type settings, preventing interference.
Maybe persistent global 'combat world' filled by various gyms/arenas/squares. Betting, virtual trophies, items, prizes.

ok....i was never going to get VR.....now....i think i need this and a decent VR boxing game. Needs damage areas. Like different sides of the body, face etc damage depending on where you strike.
