And I'm 19 and in the Navy.
Girl sammmmmeeeee
Absolute golden oldie. I love it! This is what teens should be doing. Having a great time and enjoying themselves with good wholesome fun. Bless Toni Basil! 💐
It's a good cover.
Fantastic career spanning decades, worked with everyone, Bravo Toni!
What a magnificent blast from the past that was! What fun! Glad it was directed my way.
My first memory in life is dancing around the lounge room going absolutely feral with my mum. 30 years later I will still get feral when it comes on and my mum will tear up. ❤
loved this as an 80s kid...still love it!!!
One of the songs on the radio when I was happy. Was always on the top 5 in my area lol.
I was only in kindergarten when this song became popular in 1981? Wow, how time flies!
Who is here after ROSÉ and Bruno Mars APT.
Me
Me too!
NO WAY DUDE 😂😂😂
Me
That what I thought too ppl of a certain age will know this...copy n paste.
40 yrs old now....still a pretty good tune.
I’m going to be 40 soon too! Man those were the good old days 😄
She is 78 years old now..
@@muratdogrusoz5705 I mean the song.....
I will remember you when i‘m 40 listing to this song.
Boy do I miss this song/video. Yes the 80's!!❤️❤️💃💃🤸♀️
Real talent displayed which didn't need a lot of smoke and mirrors visual effects. A blank background with Toni and her gal pals rocking it in cheerleader uniforms. Great 80s tune!
Actually she used real cheerleaders in that video. That's why some of the girls are so big because with an all girl squad they need some big muscular girls to toss, catch and support the bass in formations.
@@smcc2524 And Toni was actually a cheerleader herself back in the day, that is her Las Vegas High School uniform she's wearing. Her work as a dancer/choreographer kept her slim and trim. I believe she would have been in her 30s when this was filmed.
Finally found what APT sounded like. Now I can sleep peacefully.
lol i followed you but im thinking more like blondie one way or another
@@dizzystate9238 I think so, APT. similar as one way or another more than hey mickey
lol same. no wonder I got LSS from that song
Brings back great memories of good days - so much more then, than now...it seems. Oh Mickey indeed!
No decade will ever top the 80's!!!
A song you either love or hate...no in-between..I LOVE this song...always have always will...Just a different sound and there is no arguing...it has a great hook and it's catchy!..
The only thing that I didn't like was it was overplayed 😂
Toni Basil, this was fantastic...that completely sums it up.
*E lindo ver que música de sucesso faz o coração das pessoas pularem por tudo eternidade!💗😊*
After further analysis, after many decades this really is quite brilliant in every sense!
A pop masterpiece, and to mine British eyes.... I remember this tantalizing peek into another altogether more hopeful world on the other side of the Atlantic!
Awesome... Better than I remembered on that Saturday morning. 🇬🇧🏆🇺🇲
I always loved this song and video. It always puts me in a good mood and smile. ☺️ Thank you Toni Basil and cheerleaders. Toni and the squad did a great job with it. 👍 I do wonder the names of the cheerleaders in this video and whatever happened them. 🤔 All of them wore sweaters with the year '80 on them. That would mean they're probably all turning 60 this year. 😳 Wow, time does fly. I know because I'm a year older than the cheerleaders. I did read that they were part of a winning squad from Carson High School in Los Angeles.
