I had no idea there was a retopology shading option and the different settings for brushes really opened my eyes to new stuff in blender. A lot of useful information. Thanks!
What I would like to understand is why the other brushes dont have the "Persistent base" option. It would certainly prevent overlaps and accumulations when drawing lines that join together.
This vid is great but I am hitting a snag. Viewport overlays menu doesn't have shading or retopology as options. This might be because I am using Blender 4. Where are theses options now?
For some reason I didn't think of using this method as a base for my hard surface stuff in this manner. Would be even better using retopoflow addon with Blender! Thanks
Only good thing about retopoflo is their marketing. It's a terrible addon. Free retopo tools (or Blender Vanilla) are way better than this unstable addon. When you write, as a customer, unhappy comments about the product: Retopoflow devs delete your comments. Fuck them...

awesome i had no idea scrape tool could be used in this way. mind blown. ty!
Love the visualization modes of Blender, it does to the models a nice preview
I cant thank you enough for this video. A real gamechanger for me! All the best, Yanni
bro you're hitting me with so much useful info
this is a really interesting workflow. neeed to give it a go

I love this .. I don't know sculpting at all .. and I think it's time to learn .. this can make my concept designs better I think
this is really great, and thank you in particular for the brush customisation advice. bravo.

Thank you so much for sharing!
Would you recommend retopoing it fully before fixing ngons or fix ngons as you go ?
Fix ngons when needed. During or after usually.
This technic is good for 3d printing or not ?
Probably not. I don't 3d print though.
What dyntopo settings do you use?
amazing!!!
