Amazing tradition. What a great way of expressing yourselves and your country. I love the passion and intensity shown in the haka, I get shivers every time. Much respect from across the ditch (Australia) ✊
Being in India, we don't really follow Rugby. But I remember when I was a teenager I decided to check out what rugby was all about, so I stayed up late into the night and caught my first test. I had no idea what a Haka was, never seen it or heard about it. The All Blacks took the field, I thought they would do their national anthems, like any other sport. And then they did the Haka. I fell off my chair. I could not believe or understand what was happening. All I remember is that it was as if electricity ran through my spine and I was in half shock and half amazement. And I just went....what?? wow!!
That's the strength of the Mana created by the Haka. Me a Marathi guy never have witnessed a Haka but the day when I started watching it, it really was a spine chilling, jaw dropping, cloud nine sensation and I started imagining how lucky were those who got a Farewell Haka, A wedding and a Funeral Haka.
My fav is Piri and then Tana. I absolutely love the hakas, all of them, and I'm not even from NZ. Best memory was my first haka live, a pool match in Auckland at RWC 2011. A few foreign fans in a sea of AB fans performing the haka in unison with their team. Gave me shivers.
This invitation to do battle is an awesome idea....it showcases new Zealand's primitive culture....it honours their forefathers and says they fearless warriors...win or lose ,life or death....they will do their duty to their people
Rico Gear was so good when he us to lead the Haka for the All Blacks from Gisborne I still remember watching Rico Gear leading the Haka for the All Blacks when he use to play for the All Blacks
Then how come your rugby team only won 2 or 3 games to the all blacks that's not the best team in the world try 467 wins in a 100 years the All black s now that's what you call the bests team in the world
Such a Poxy concept very unfair that the other team have to just stand there and listen to them hype themselves up. I think all blacks should have to do it before other teams anthem if playing away. And if not then other team should be allowed in a huddle and not watch

Anyone could give me the lyrics on what they say and the meaning in english please? Im a fan of this, and want to know more about New Zealand Haka
This video explains the hakas meaning ua-cam.com/video/wMkExCvxTEA/v-deo.html
in an age of pansies and political correctness, the haka speaks of a time when men believed in honour,a time when men were men
well said
Mario Vautrin you obviously one of the pansies
Women also do the haka
soulpatch59 their version is pathetic
spoken by someone who clearly has no idea what a haka is
music at the end of video please?
dylan alcaces M83 - "Hurry up, we're dreaming" album outro
Does Kane Williamson know to perform the Haka?
All I hear is motivational lizard at the end.

There are alot of rugby players in the world love the haka so sit down
It can just as well have the opposite reaction. It's about accepting the challenge.
They can choose not to accept the challenge, and not watch or acknowledge the haka. Lol.
Cuan Doyle shut up you joke of an Irish woman
Peter Rabbit who you calling a woman you made a playlist about “cool RV’s” sounds very manly indeed ooh
