- Packrafting Adventures on the river Spey and Loch an Eilein, a small irregular shaped, freshwater loch in the Rothiemurchus Forest about 5 km south of Aviemore, Scotland. Loch an Eilein comes from the Scottish Gaelic and means 'Loch of the island'😊 Adventure HQ was a bit of a splurge as it was Lisa’s birthday but I have to say, worth every penny! Forest Cottage at Rothiemurchus. Our trip down the Spey begain in Aviemore where we put in then jumped out at Boat of Gartem where we got the steam train back to the start.

Fantastic stuff Dave and Lisa , you two are truly blessed and what a lovely happy couple you's look. Must have missed this one , do you think that size of packraft take 1 adult male with a 125 litre backpack full of gear on a multi day trip?

Haha.. we do also have our differences but we’ll keep them off YT lol.
Sounds like a lot of kit, would probably take the weight but don’t forget. You also need to carry you Packraft, paddles and buoyancy aid. Probably best got look at reducing kit a little. 😀👍
