Ive been on an aip diet now for almost 2 months. My hair is growing back on my patches but the hair thats growing backis really light blonde almost white fine hairs. Im telling myself this is happening because my hair is being reborn again and when i was a child i had bright blonde hair. So im thinking its just my hair cycle and this is the early stages. Did your hair grow back white? Dont get me wrong the fact that my patches have hair growing back in the first place is a plus 🙏🏻..im gonna continue aip for as long as it takes. And plus the diet isnt really that hard. My daily diet concists of a green smoothie (with spinach, green apple, banana, avocado, collagen protein powder) for lunch I eat turkey(either turkey mince/steak) with mushrooms, garlic, onions. The condiments i use are. Garlic granuals. Sage. Turmeric and ginger. I have this with loads of veg. I eat about 1k of veg a day. For my dinner/supper i eat either Cod or Prawns again with Sweet potato and veg. I drink about 2 cups of green tea and i try to get in atleast 1/2 ltrs of water a day. Thats my diet along with meditation (i use headspace) and daily exercise. I do miss coffee.. I used to love sitting in coffee shops drinking coffee and chilling out😭 i miss eating big juicy bacon cheese burgers to but right now Im focusing right on fixing my body from the inside. For years i was eating terrible living off coffee and energy drinks. Getting takeaway food everyday. Eating about 5 big bags of doritos a week. Staying up all night and nevee getting sleep. My body needed this rest because ive treated it so bad for so long so im using this time of eating healthy to help my AA and to heal my insides so i can come out at the end not only with my hair back but a more healthier person.
I am a stylist and have huge patches of hairloss. I believe we all must face our vanity here. I also found these hair fibers that camouflage it and gave me confidence. I send you guys all my love and blessings. This is deep spiritual work. I was vegan for years until I faced the fact that I must do this. I actually cried before eating the fish. I know it sounds stupid...but I really felt part of my identity was being vegan. I also bodybuild and felt my strength leave without the protein. I hope I can heal. ❤🙏
I've been vegetarian for the past 3 years and I went vegan last January...I was so happy to finally be able to also eliminate cheese and eggs and now I have Alopecia and I have to consider the AIP protocol...so frustrating!
It doesn’t sound stupid at all. It’s how you feel. It’s okay. After co.vid, my hair thinned. I bought a human hair wig. It’s so pretty. My stylist cut it to frame my face and colored and highlighted it to go with my skin tone. I hope that you are well and feel better. My food contribution would be a hash. I just made this the other day with left over beef tenderloin and bacon. For vegetables 🥕, I used what I had: onion, garlic, carrot, cauliflower, and mushrooms. For fat I used bacon fat. My husband even liked this! Wishing you all the blessings that you need.
excited for your re-intro video! I feel like that is one of the most confusing parts of AIP when you have alopecia since its not like other auto-immune diseases like Hashis where you instantly feel a difference.
Here’s the question I’ve always been wondering that I’ve never heard the answer or I missed it? What is your diet now? Have you just went back to normal eating without the foods that you are sensitive to or what? Think that’s a real good question for those that have been able to achieve hair growth and don’t want to see a relapse.
Lost all hair just before 11th birthday. Various stages of regrowth over years, never even close to full but I've been much more focused on diet and health the past couple years and I've never had more growth. This is still almost nothing but white fine hairs are changing on eyebrows and beard which is new in the past year. Interesting to see where it'll go. Thanks for speaking about this.
Thank you for your content. I've only been doing this about a week and I can feel that my inflammation is already reduced. I honestly don't find this restrictive. It's easier to have a set list but the list is quite expansive.
Thanks for this! Your videos are my go to since starting AIP 2 months ago. I have lost about 60% of my hair and although I have seen little white hairs growing on my scalp, I’m still losing it in clumps. Would you be able to tell me when you knew to start reintroducing foods and how you know if they affect you or not? Thanks x
What a good video Deepa. Did a Dr originally prescribe this diet for you? Do you return for follow up visits to check your labs periodically? I’m sure this diet will not harm anyone and sounds very healthy overall. It is hard to give up certain foods for sure. Thank you for sharing this info.
*Thank you so much for the advice!!!!* 👍👍👍 I have naturally avoided it even that it is healthy and recommended and I know how to do it and would love to use every single part of an animal (of respect), but histamine issues...yes, that is surely something for me to take a big note on! Thank you so much for posting a comment on here! You never know, you might just saved me from much suffering. Hope that others with the issue take a note about this too!!!
I thought i could do this as it sounds decent enough. But the seasoning/spices/garnish list is so bland. As a Caribbean i will not survive with bland flavours. 😬
Hi Deepa, does this diet work for androgenic alopecia as well? Also coupld you please some before and after pictures of your hair? Thank you for sharing this helpful information and I hope to try the diet soon.
Lol! I'm West Indian and I'm going to miss my dahl as well! I'm looking forward to healing my gut as I think I'm dealing with leaky gut and AIP was recommended to me from my natropath. I've given up rice(which I didn't eat it much) and subbed it out for cauliflower rice and I honestly love it with thai curry, especially. I'm goining to miss eggs the most on this diet. But I'm hoping after a few weeks of elimination, it will go well;)
Heya, I am also West Indian, I experimented with things like Salt Fish fritters and Ackee and other foods like plantain. They helped me to not feel like I wasn't missing out x
Thanks for this info. Do I keep on the meds prescribed? I have scleroderma/ MS and I'm on a number of drugs including immunosuppressive ones. Please advise
Start the diet, see improvement on your symptoms, talk to your doctor about lowering the dosage and *SLOWLY* move that way over the years. You might need to keep some medication on still, but less is of course better. Your body is unique, you need to really let it talk to you and listen. That takes time. And follow your doctor's recommendations with medication! He knows how to safely move to a lower dosage after you have been on a diet some longer time and seen improvements in your symptoms.
@@SatumainenOlento I was going to say the same thing. Never stop meds on the advice of someone on UA-cam over your Doctor’s recommendation. However, most doctor’s are happy to slowly lower meds, depending on your symptoms!! And sure, the goal is zero meds, but that’s just not going to happen for some auto-immune diseases. Good luck!
I haven’t eaten red meat in 40 years. I am 64 years old and have lost about 2/3 of my hair in the last couple years. Thank you for sharing this video as I’ve been eating tons of nuts. I’m just wondering what I should eat since I don’t eat red meat. Is chicken OK?
I been on this diet 5 months. Lost 70 percent of hair all over my head.None has grown back at all on this diet.I have no thyroid it was removed 6 years ago my levels with meds are normal.I did how ever lose 48 lbs on this diet that I gained following having thyroid removed. But there has been no hair regrowth at all I was hoping this would help
what other type of autoimmune diets are there bcuz i think eating meat causes more pain and inflammation. I feel so lost and confused bcuz beginning of last year I didn’t have this issue. it suddenly started and as it got worse I seemed to react to more and more foods. even when I’m fasting I still experience pain and inflammation every night and it’s affecting my muscles and organs too. seems exercising also makes everything worse even simple and exercises. I don’t have IBD or IBS according to my gastroenterologist but it feels like they’re missing something bcuz i get lots of burning down the right side of my abdomen, not really in the stomach. feels like my intestines and or liver
Thank you for your Alopecia Areata videos, I really loved it knowing that someone had been through in what I am experiencing right now. It is so depressing to me.. but your videos give me hopes! Regarding on taking supplements, Is it safe to take all the listed vitamins per day? Please let me know on how to take these supplements (daily dosage). Thank you very much !

I know I am quite randomly asking but do anybody know a good place to watch newly released movies online?
@Billy Dominic Flixportal =)
