damn your going through 7,8,9.. SUPER CLEANLY!
Taking 10,11,12 in 2cd gear is different I'm going to try that and keep my speed up more there, I've been dropping to 1st for rotation then short shifting into 2cd to get my power down through 13 sooner.

Sorry if you’ve talked about this in other videos, this is the first one of yours for me. Do you use both feet independently for throttle and brake?

Yes I left foot brake and right foot throttle

I don't know how you wizards dip into the 1:51s. I'm properly stuck running 1:52s

Just practice bud but 1:52’s are very competitive

Is this just hot lap stuff or can you do this kinds of times during a race. If so i may as well forget about getting in any races I will just be in the way

What I do when I run these guides is start on the default fixed tank and run it down to about 4L left (15-20 mins-ish) and then clip the fastest lap. Sometimes it's the 4th, sometimes it's the 10th but my fastest next 3-4 laps are always within 1/10th or two.
All my laps and sessions are on Garage61 if you're ever bored enough to double check.
As for during a race, one should be able to go a oit faster depending on the draft but if you're actually fighting or defending then obviously one would be slower. But there are 10-12 splits each hour so 90-95% of races are going slower. The main thing is to enjoy yourself racing and find your level and you'll improve over time.
Last season I won the Vee world championship out of over 40,000 that raced the Vee that season, 18 months ago my iR was 1,300 and I was in the middle splits and hadn't improved for six months then something clicked, but only because I was enjoying myself.

@@Sambo_iRacingamazing advice and amazing guides. I just started out, these are really helping. So much fun! Congrats on the championship!

@@Sambo_iRacing Thanks for the advice I will give it a try. I understand about the split thing but when I join practice sessions people with low IR and SR are still way faster. I have a decent setup with LC brake pedal and quality wheel and base so I can rule that out. Starting to think I should just stick with the ovals where I can just drive to my ability and still be competitive in my split

It’s just a question of practice in road cars mate. The learning curve is a bit steeper as there are more differentiators but stick with it. It’s a blast when start getting consistent.

Any chance of f4/gt4 next season?

I can’t promise it I’m afraid, doing a series is a fair amount of work and I’m already doing the MX5, Vee and FF1600. Maybe the one after.
