I just bought one. Traded in my 2014 Focus St with 125,000 miles on it. This is the only car in a class similar to the Focus that is still made. Comparing the cars, the Ficus with its 2.0 turbo is more roudy with sick torque steer. The Honda is only a 1.5 so it’s not as extreme. Bit it’s much more refined. It feels more like a BMW. Extremely solid. Shifter is great and it gets 36 mpg on average. For $30k which is really cheap by today’s standards. This car is awesome.
I have this same engine in my Acura Integra and it's a blast to drive. And it's very fuel efficient if you don't push it too hard. Heads up to Civic buyers. Many Civic models are on a STOP SALE status from Honda because of the high-pressure fuel pump recall. I was trying to buy a 2025 Civic Sport sedan for my wife last week and the dealer couldn't sell me a car on the lot because of the recall. I was pretty disappointed.
Open recalls like this should be praised to the manufacturer. Other brands (ahem Jeep/Ford) would try to sweep things under the rug, and wait for a class action lawsuit before doing anything.
@@MikeHawkNBahlzjust had to lemon my 24’ GLI 40th anniversary cause of check engine lights for misfires which are hella common it seems. I was a lucky one tho to get it lemoned. Hundreds of others are having the same issue with the 40ths but a year later and VW hasn’t even acknowledged it other than saying it’s my fault for letting the car idle when I start it up….😂
I have an 8th and a 9thgen Si. I bought them both new off the lot and decided to keep them when it came time to trade and have turned them into tuners/project cars. Love them. I cant get excited about the 11th gen on. Just basically Accords they have became so big. The other side of the equation is the dealer addendums I have found on them when I was shopping. Tacking an extra 3k onto the sticker and calling it a limited edition is just beyond what I am willing to pay to own one. I drove the 24 and its a great car. It still didnt feel as sprightly and light as my other two. Each to their own but it feels more like an Accord than a Civic to me.
@middleagedbaldguy6774 LOL the 10th and 11th si are leaner than yours. But you're just a typical person who has a bias towards what he has. Life is short, it's nice to try all of the fun vehicles out there.
@@steve8803 What bias? We own four Hondas and are shopping for a fifth now that our kid is a teen. I just find most of the new models less than enticing. And what are you talking about with weight and size? The newest civic is over 140mm longer than the 9th gen and weighs around three thousand lbs. I want to say curb weight on a 9th gen is 2700lbs. The 8th is around 100lbs more. Still lighter and markedly smaller than the newest.
The transmission in this Si was made in India. The 2024 Honda Civic sport hatch with the 2.0 and 6MT I used to own also had the transmission from India but it turned out to be the worse shifting manual transmission I have ever driven.
Keep in mind the civic of all types have several recalls. Yes, all car companies have been experiencing recalls. Again, I am just providing info to be mindful before you buy..
I think your friend was keeping you on a short leash with that nearly empty gas tank! 😂 all jokes aside I just picked up mine two days ago and loving it.
@ nothing that’s the problem it’s not bad, but not that much fun either. Everyone raves about the mpg….. but I have never got over 20 anyway. In Az you can’t go below 80 or you will get run over.
I've had my 2025 Si for a month and it is definitely a fun car to drive
Same here, in black. Loving it too.

@Did you pay $30k or did the dealer marked it up a bit more?

All brands have recalls, but I judge the timing of recalls dependent on was it proactive or reactive.

@@Kushanody I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that this is how the dieselgate folks treat their customers.
Looks good, Except for the black wheels. First thing i will do when it hits my garage is get rid of black wheels. These are fun cars to drive.

Honda Civic SI 2025 is 30.000$ if at my country is maybe nearly 50.000$
I miss my 2020 so much. I kick my self everyday for trading to a Ridgeline.
What don’t you like about the ridgeline?

$30 grand!?
Wow! Cars nowadays are overly priced!
Don’t open door at high wind or it will fly right off
It is not 30000 dollars!
Civic sis dont come here in my delership maybe its the same case there thatswhy you are having to ask a owner
Is it still available as a coupe? You did not mention.
No civic has had a coupe since 2021
