That's sweet they are doing that for tacoma the 2025 my trail hunter has the 2 inch lift from factory so that one will be 1/2 inch higher then my tacoma trail hunter
😂 every modern engine is a “4 banger” dude. Learn a little bit about motors before you go around demanding something like a twin turbocharged V6. “Oh, these things only have a V4…” is the equivalent of what you said here. When people say 4 banger, that’s referring to the engine’s cycle, not the number of cylinders it has. Dirtbikes and chainsaws, a lot of them, have 2 bangers in them, meaning 2 cycle motors. The number of cylinders a motor has is not necessarily indicative of its power or reliability, and the same applies to turbos.
@ agreed! And looks great, but just think it should be in the 2500 dollar category. UCAs are sick but no reservoirs or even piggy backs for 3400 is just too much. But to each their own.
@@jeepguy04 It technically is a game changer as all major manufacturers such as ford, Chevy, dodge, etc do not offer an optional lift kit across all trims. You’d have to buy a zr2 or a tremor or a rebel to receive a lift whereas for 3500-4000 you get a complete lift setup for any trim and its compliant with safety features and doesn’t void the warranty (if you lift a truck and it’s not from the factory you void the warranty and it’s not compliant with safety features)
What do you mean a “factory lift”. Is this the height of this truck from the factory or is this an option? This suspension option you mention on the sticker does not appear on their build and price web page.
This truck is way overpriced!!!! They took the most proven, reliable V6 engine and switched it for a overly complicated turbo charged 4 cylinder engine that does NOT drive as nicely as previous toyota tacomas and you don't even gain any better fuel efficiency! The body style looks better but this truck is a gigantic flop made in Mexico!
Haha, I won’t argue about the price… they’re not cheap, but y’all need to quit whining about bringing the V6 back. That motor may have been reliable, but it was a pig, and it didn’t operate anywhere near as smoothly as the new power plant. Calling a turbocharged 4 cylinder “overly complicated” is just hilarious to me. These motors have been used by Toyota/Lexus since 2018 in the NX, and turbocharged motors have been around for DECADES. More importantly, there is no data indicating that these new motors are unreliable in the new Tacomas or the Lexus NX. Just a bunch of dingbats claiming they know better on the internet. Hell, if you’ve driven one, you’d probably realize the biggest improvement going from 3rd to 4th gen IS the new powertrain and transmission. It’s night and day better, and it’s not even close. End of the day, buy something else if you don’t like it, or just keep what you have. No one’s gonna hold you hostage!
The ZR two is just as expensive don’t kill yourself. All these manufactures are trying to hijack us, but they’re the ones are gonna get screwed in the end.
IMO....Taco needs to be Long Bed...looks WAY cab heavy with the new design & 5' bed. Whatever the case $55K for a mid truck with cloth seats & no sunroof ?? .... Eeeeeshh..
I agree. You can buy a nice brand new full sized truck for that price with year end discounts. Not everybody needs or wants a full sized truck truck but it’s nice to get your money’s worth
The AT4X stickered @ $62K! AT4s @ $55K! Denalis @$57K! All of the automakers are price gouging, not to mention using cheap materials. To maximize profits!
What’s it called when you can see the mph in your window when you dive “ heads up display “ what’s it called for Toyota? Also is the the trd off road premium or non?
IFS is a horrible front suspension to lift, you lose downward travel unless you use a lift kit that increases the length of you upper and lower control arms, I highly doubt Toyota is lifting these trucks the right way! It would be so easy for Toyota to manufacture slightly longer control arms and sell the lift kit as part of a package, this would drastically improve the Tacoma's off roading ability. In my view, this factory lift is a waste of money unless your truck is just a grocery getting mall crawler!
Yes it’s expensive. What isn’t now a days. Yes it will continue to hold their values. Yes it’s a 4 cylinder but when you compare this motor to their 3rd gen 6 cylinder, it’s a 1000 times better overall with an upgraded 8 speed transmission. Toyota has been building solid 4 cylinder motors for decades now so time will tell. $3500 dealer lift. Hard pass. The hybrid would be my choice. Rips!
Appearance is everything......you should go back to the way you used to look. The long beard and slicked back hair is less professional .....unless reviewing camping gear or firearms.
Time to shave and cut the man tail And who cares about the tires? Wear them out then buy what you want. Also 3400 dollars for a simple lift is beyond hysterical. and the shocks are different bilsteins I would guess and not the normal 4600 due to the lift and need for increased travel
55k and no leather seats? Plus those big tires should already be installed for that price. Those mfs are on something.
Good looking truck …..from a guy that always at least levels or installs a lift kit soon after purchase the factory option is much welcomed
That lift is sweet, but the stock tires do look a bit puny. Nice for Toyota to offer as a factory option.
I just looked on the Cdn site for just the lift kit not available. I have a 24 on the US site it was $3400
