The algorithm brought you here. You have time for elbow pads and to watch skate content & comment. You got time to skate. 🤷🏽♂☠ We all have jobs and kids buddy thats no excuse...😅
@@algnar666 whatever the story we tell ourselves is going to be true. The fact is you can just cruise and have fun without trying to bust your ass. Idk man it feels good and that’s all that matters to me.❤️
exact same. My level was mid to low when i last skated (at age 14), and im now 48 picking it up again where i left it off more than 35 years ago. I get the same kick out of it now as i had as a teen
I'm 40 and started skating last year. Probably the best decision I have made in many years, it has been amazing for my physical and mental health. I'm not that great but I love it either way, I like my curbs because they are low impact, got slappy noslides and boardslide, 5050's and 5.0's. I can 5050 the ledge thats about 20" high and started to slappy NS it recently too. Last night I got into my first ever pop in noseslide on that ledge but couldn't land (that will come at tonight sesh i hope) and i also landed pop in boardslides last night for the first time too. I got a pretty mean shuv and and shuv 5050 on the small box at our local. The kickflip is the trick thats driving me up the wall, just cant get my back foot to come back on, my flip is mint now and I have landed a dozen or so but I cannot get any consistency with em. Subbed and will check out more. I have been thinkin of recording and uploading videos on me failing at skateboarding for the fun of it.
42, just started a year agofor the first time but was progressing slowly. So I made a connection on reddit recently (via a local skate subreddit) and I met up with a older skater at a park who is more skilled. I've only met him once but it's made all the difference. Having someone there boosts confidence, points out mistakes and gives tips. Skateboarding is a solo sport sure, but if you are just beginning having a friend/mentor really helps in my opinion. Also I was being really lazy and hesitant the first year but I'm really pushing my to go out and skate more now.
Love the channel and the positivity. I'm 34, full time job and raising two kids. Started skating last year after a long break and it's been humbling cause I can't do what I could but it's the best thing I've done for my mental health. Keep shredding
37y got my first board 2 weeks ago, after years of thinking about it. still super shaky but getting better each time i step on it and start cruising. its just so much fun and rewarding. progression is slow but already feeling much more comfortable with it. My Goal is to Ollie before Spring time. i think that is achievable. greetings from germany
I just started skating again a few weeks ago and despite not skating for 16-17 years I landed a clean kickflip second try after setting up my new deck which I did not expect to happen. When I think about it I don't know why I ever stopped, I skated from age 8 to about 13/14 and then nothing, the joy of being back on the board the past few weeks has been insane. I'm not long 30 so plenty of time left to shred, hopefully 😂
I never started, but my kid wanted to go this weekend so we did and it was a blast so now Monday morning I'm learning how this is all supposed to work 😂
40 years of age with two kids and a full time tradesman job , no time for being hurt and having swellbows , I put my time In

@@scott.skates I still ride , never said I quit either , no need for being hurt at this age
33, started again a few months after a 15ish year “break”, landing a kickflip still feels as good now as it did then… maybe even better
48 and restarted few years ago and still skating five days a week at least.
