A giant harpy feather dropped a few weeks ago in my phm and i finally just got 20 souls of flight and just crafted the harpy wings and it is INSANE how much flight of that length in time and height makes a difference. It opened up so much strategy and makes exploring 100 times more enjoyable and easier.
Wings that I use in my entire master mode playthrough: 1.Frozen Wings 2.Butterfly Wings 3.Betsy Wings tip for OOA Master Mode, I recommended save defender medal for next tier armor and sentry, I know it's a lot but it also help a ton especially when using any OOA sentry Explosive Trap sentry give the best result there from all my test(no Ichor required so it's friendly for world with corruption biome) for Tier 3 I recommended get Frost Hydra for extra support too. Betsy fight in Master Mode you will need a very high dps, or else she will destroy the crystal before you defeat her. Celestial Pillar weapons can help a ton especially in master mode.
Honorable mention of the Gelatinous Pillion, the Queen Slime mount. Basically tier 1 wings, but with a hover ability and built-in amphibian boots. If you can put up with the inconvenience of relying on a mount, it offers absurd mobility for something that can be acquired right after entering hardmode and doesn't take up accessory slots. Easily competes with regular wings until mid-hardmode in my opinion.

Easiest wings to get by far are the fledgling wings. They don't provide much flight, but one of these, cloud in a bottle and one of the speed boots was enough to make all the difference vs the earliest master mode bosses when nothing else worked. If you've got four gravity potions, that's enough to fully explore the sky of a large world to get them.
Unfortunately these got nerfed and are now much, much harder to find. If you still wan't them I reccomend searching up a seed but if you are trying to do a no abuse run then just fish up for them. I believe they have a 2% chance to be in sky chests now.

You forgot about the Beetle Wings, which are crafted from eight Beetle Husks (A Golem drop) and 20 souls of flight. I'd put them around tier 4, as I haven't used them enough to know if they're better than the hoverboard or spectre wings and such. Something to note about the Beetle Wings is that they are completely silent.
If you are play mastermode, rather than sacrificing a accessory slot, please use the blackspot, its faster than wings, but there will be trouble with vertical movement though that shouldn't bother a player much
@@king_b7160 Still the earliest infinite flying mount, but pretty harshly. The speed was nerfed, and you cant exploit it with the dash. If you get it - great, you might even cheese plantera with it. But I wouldnt go out of the way to get it
For new or returning players the leaf wings are no longer available until after defeating all mechanical bosses and plantera so you wont get them for awhile.

I'm pre plantera right now and found a broken bat wing and wasn't sure what I should do with it. This helped me make that decision. It has higher block ascension so I'm gonna go with the bat wings. Thanks Zuzu! 👌✌🙌
I know this isnt a wing but and honorable mention Gelatinous Pillion a mount drop by the queen slime It can jump high and fall down quickly which is very affective in boss fight it has slight flight as well and negate some damage if hit from bellow and it gives away plus movement speed everytime you jump and hit the ground
At the very beginning of hardmode, I decided to run over to the hallow to check it out. On my way there, I went through my snow biome, where there happened to be a blizzard. To my surprise, some strange ice giant was jumping around in a hole. I shrugged, killed it with a few arrows, then went on my way. It was only back home when I realized I could craft some Ice wings, so I did, not knowing anything about wings or the fact that what I had done by accident was the most optimal thing I could have done. TL;DR accidentally did perfect Ice Wing method

Vortex are probably my favourite. Usually I go for leaf wings first, maybe get jetpack and then get mothron wings. Get UFO and kill fishron for his wings then get vortex
My personal Wing progression is fledgling Wings in prehardmode, leaf wings as soon as I beat WoF (I fight it just before night so I can get them immediately) Fishron Wings after whatever mechboss gives me a good weapon for the class I’m playing (For example, if I go ranged, I’d fight destroyer for souls of might to get mega shark) and finally whatever class lunar wings as usually each wing type matches the fight style of said class. In Expert, it’s just about the same aside from Celestial starboard at the end, and usually Fishron wings after 2 or all mechbosses unless I feel very prepared
I wish your channel had been around when I did my first playthrough. You're on par with the wiki all round, thanks to the to-the-point and practicality of the videos.
I more recently got into the game. I kind of like the pace and idea of the game. 28 hours into one world and each hour makes me feel either a bit more powerful or mobile in the world with what I find. When boredom sets in, I just explore and find something new. Sometimes I find things that straight up kill me. Sometimes I find things that I can straight up kill. I was strolling around killing slimes with a godly yo yo, thought that was top tier for the game for a while.
Just did some binge watching a lot of your videos. Now I just need to start playing again to progress. Preparing myself for Wall of flesh and hard mode. Also got the large harpy feather while making a space skyway. Guess i can have a decent wing on start of hardmode. I hope...

You can be on stealth mode while using the celestial starboard if you sacrifice one of your ranger accessorie you can do crazy damage and have a good movement speed

This is a great video; however, I used to set up the Witch Doctor in a house in the underground Jungle before hardmode so that once I defeated the Wall Of Flesh, I could just head to the Underground Jungle with a platinum coin and purchase the Leaf Wings from the Witch Doctor. Sadly, you'll have to wait until Plantera is defeated before he will sell you the Leaf Wings.
Duke Fishron can be cheesed with 2 teleporter rooms, one screen width a part, and a single wall between it. Smart cursor. Shoot out from the box that has hoiks on the walls, teleport before he hits you with a single click. It is still skill based and scary, but entirely doable with most weapons, especially long ranged or piercing. Easy win, but very time consuming

I always go for harpy wings immediately, I recommend killing harpies pre hardmode until you get the giant feather. Then in hardmode kill wyverns
I find wyverns a lot easier to kill with flails and other piercing weapons, so harpy wings are my cup of tea.
The best wyvern killing weapon is the dart rifle
Just get frost wings. They’re much better and easier to get.

I usually enter hardmode, go to the sky, easily kill wyverns, get a giant harpy feather, and that's always my starter pair of wings. Then I'll usually switch them post golem to fishron wings.

You can also try to get the u.f.o from the marsian invasion. Its a mount with infinite flight and full control but its not very fast

i love witch's broom sm it basically frees up 2 slots for extra damage or anything else you might want, i only got it in one playthrough so far but now that i tried it holy sheet im not going back
This is a great video; however, I used to set up the Witch Doctor in a house in the underground Jungle before hardmode so that once I defeated the Wall Of Flesh, I could just head to the Underground Jungle with a platinum coin and purchase the Leaf Wings from the Witch Doctor. Sadly, you'll have to wait until Plantera is defeated before he will sell you the Leaf Wings.
Duke Fishron can be cheesed with 2 teleporter rooms, one screen width a part, and a single wall between it. Smart cursor. Shoot out from the box that has hoiks on the walls, teleport before he hits you with a single click. It is still skill based and scary, but entirely doable with most weapons, especially long ranged or piercing. Easy win, but very time consuming
