    62-year-old female here… You are hilarious! I think it’s my back tailgate somehow not closing all the way. Leaving the light on. Brand new one year old battery. I will never get this time back… I’m exhausted. It’s been a few days better pick up my prescriptions. I will call AAA. By the way, FYI… Isn’t it an RX 350? just saying… if it is, I’m going to buy a lottery ticket.

      Haha, Thanks very much!
      This was a 330, I think the 350 looks the same but has a bigger engine, later generation maybe also?
      If the interior lights are staying on because of the latches the tailgate is a common issue for sure. Unplugging it can prove it out to be sure before buying any parts. I would have a good shop take a look at it if it's not something you're comfortable messing with, removing the rear door panel and that kind of thing.
      Hope you get it sorted out!

    im having issues myself. 01 rx 300. 180,000 miles. new battery, alternators fine. possible parasitic draw.

    • @JimmyMakingitwork
      @JimmyMakingitwork  Рік тому +1

      I use a small amp meter that can be installed between the battery and the ground terminal. Then remove fuses one at a time until I find the draw and reduce it to under .05 milliamperes.

    Hi I have a 2006 Lexus rx330 and my battery keeps dying. I thought it was the battery but I changed it and it still has an issue that's draining the battery . Alternator is also good. When I take off the "short" fuse it doesn't drain the battery. Do you think it could be #10 fuse too?

    • @JimmyMakingitwork
      @JimmyMakingitwork  2 роки тому +1

      When I have a draw issue, identifying the fuse that removes the draw is first. After that I’ll use a wiring diagram to find everything that could be powered by that fuse. Than it’s a process of elimination by unplugging things.
      Hope this helps.

    My lexus rx330 2005 check engine and traction off light came on yesterday we got light off and found out it was out of coolant and it started running rough this morning when I cranked it and acted like it didn't want to crank when I tried it again I just sent it to garage on tow truck and he cranked it and drove it on truck and said it was running fine so I have no clue what it could be

    • @JimmyMakingitwork
      @JimmyMakingitwork  Рік тому +2

      Might be starting to burn coolant. I’d check it thoroughly for leaks, if none are found check for combustion gases in the cooling system. They make fluids to test for it.
