damn, idk how i never looked into this! good stuff man thanks for the video!
Thank you for the tip! Short and to the point.
Will you use this to upgrade your stream?
Interesting ! Thank you for sharing this!🔥
I love that you went with Star Citizen for this video.
i dont understand that part:
you explain that you should start the stream several times until you get transcoding.
My stream resolution is also at 1080p 60Hz.
If 1080p , 720p etc is displayed in the browser then everything is correct ?
You don’t get transcoding unless to days so in the settings of your stream. If you are a partner, you are guaranteed transcoding
The answer was just yes, when it shows multiple options then you have transcoding, if not then it only shows the base resolution you stream in.
my obs gives me a FAT yellow warning saying that it wont let me go over 6000 bitrate but i will set it to 7600 and see what happens thanks for the tip
Under Stream in the settings, check the box that says Ignore Streaming Recommendations and this won't happen again!
@@DarkenedCyrus
I did that, but it still continues with yellow or red obs and it doesn't go beyond 6500 bitrate. I try version 27 but still continues, help?
@@coffeegamerbr try to change encoder to a different preset. But honestly u might not have that good of internet.?
@@coffeegamerbralso run obs as administrator and run obs on higher priority
Yeah kinda common knowledge the cap is 8500, 6k is just a recommendation
I got mine up 8500 bitrate with no issues.
Can I stream at 10000 bit rate?
The answer is yes, but they will eventually throttle your stream and disconnect it. I accidentally sent over 10k bitrate one time and that's what happened to me at least
Is it normal for the dashboard to say unstable
Yes
ive seen people with bitrates at like 10,000
you shilled 2 products in a 5 minute video without addressing the fact that if your game is fast paced, something like Overwatch, then even if you're able to maintain 8k, your quality is gonna artifact, it's just a fact. Until Twitch gets with the times and at least allows 1440, this will be an issue. It's unfortunate that UA-cam hasn't taken advantage of their capacity and been more streamer friendly, because with fiber you can do 4k flawlessly on a good rig.
Wow, this comment is hostile. Twitch has already announced plans that they will be implementing these changes.
You’re right, 8k won’t change artifact on fast paced games. Honestly, people need to stop streaming 1080p for these titles and use 936p or 720p for better results.
As for UA-cam, I totally agree. I currently do 20k bitrate using AV1 for 4k 60fps. I don’t do fast paced games anyways.
Shilled 2 products? Love that
@@DarkenedCyrus Why 936p? Never seen that resolution, only 900p.
@@buttergolem8584 A source states that if the resolution isn't divisible by 8 the quality worsens, and while you think a resolution like 920 would work, it actually wouldn't.
936/8 = 117, this is the Y-axis but the X-axis also has to follow this rule, so while 920/8 = 115, 920/9 * 16 which would be 1635.5555.... which isn't divisible by 8 however 936/9 * 16 is 1664 which when divided by 8 results in 208.
In case you didn't get the original point, 900p doesn't make an integer (full number) when divided by 8 on the Y axis.
I love this explanation. 936p is still a great alternative to 1080p for UA-cam 60fps streams
affiliates is 6000. partners get 8000.
Incorrect, isn’t documented anywhere and even confirmed this in a question at TwitchCon this year
i set it to 7800 and OBS says "Warning: The streaming video bitrate will be set to 6000, which is the upper limit for the current streaming service." so should i just do 6300 then, adding 300 for the 256 AAC audio?@@DarkenedCyrus
My question is, will twitch give someone shit for doing this without being a partner?
Nope
It isn’t a limit for partners

Do you feel better after this comment? I do. Thanks for the engagement :)
