The car has the cat-converter but no resonator
It is great quality and the price is killer. I made a recent video showing how it sounds broken-in.
I bought one of these, there was literally zero sound deadening material in it. It was just a hollow can. The baffle inside came loose after a month and started rattling like crazy. Never again.....
Thank you for posting such a good quality and detailed video, this helped in my decision to buy a muffler like this. My advice is PAINT THE OVAL PART SO IT DOESN'T RUST!! I painted mine matte black before I installed it with heat safe paint. New Jersey winters = salty roads = rusty, scummy looking exhaust tips :/ Magnaflow is better quality steel... you get what you pay for. but what the hell, i'm gonna buy another one!
I don't really know, I just know that people like to have certain name brands. This muffler has a basic, straight-through design. One with the same design can cost a lot more and offer the same sound. The straight-6 is a very good sounding engine, and this muffler goes well with it. Be sure to post a vid of yours when it's installed!
I'm sure the baffles are just silencers which should be removable
hidden KARD yeah, they remove themselves after the tack welds break. It's not meant to be removable.
one of you baffler pipe inside the muffler rusted off and rattles a bit, but damn the exhaust note sound really good! Now I am trying to figure out a out to remove the loose pipe from inside the muffler. Any wise advise?
How well did this muffler hold up? I'm thinking about picking one up for my daily.
GraphicFrost don't do it. They're garbage. Welds are horrible, there's no sound dampening material and they rust quickly. They're just shiny hollow cans. I wouldn't even call it a muffler, more like an exhaust tip. I know it's a late reply but hopefully future purchasers will notice this comment and steer clear.

Tyler Pludowski nope, mine was driven in a dry summer climate. It lasted less than two months before it just fell apart. Spend the extra money and buy a real muffler.
Matt G how do you know there's no sound deadening. Did you cut it open?
I'm looking at the black dtm oval 3in or a black 4in n1 style for my G35. A cheap option because my oem muffler has an exhaust leak. I want a deep more quiet tone not too loud.
worth it? i got a lil 1.9l 318i i just need something to replace mine and i decided i might as well get something that looks good

i got the same kind off ebay for about 35 bucks im just waiting to get it installed. i love the way it sounds. what i really want to know is what difference does a muffler that cost twice this much offer that this doesnt?
a real muffler lasts forever. these get eaten up from the inside out in less than a year.
Buck Lee mine lasted about a month in a dry climate. Buy a real muffler.
got mine for 40 bucks, 1 year of use (with pops and bangs) still sounding great no issues.
