One thing that makes all your videos jump out from the screen is your exuberance and genuine love for your studies. It is contagious watching this. Thank you.
Definitely agree, watching Sam nerd out over his material really makes you want to learn more yourself. If nobody ever told you Sam, or maybe they have, you would make an exceptional history teacher at the high school level or a history professor at the college level.
@@HistoricTravels Hi Historic Travels, i have two questions; 1. do you think the sections came off at the surface after Titanic broke up or came off underwater? 2. Do you think the double bottom held on, remained attached until after breakup but before stern rose or broke and failed when the breakup began?
Orlando's is very good and put together. Southampton has a very good, although small museum - with many of the crew coming from Southampton - the museum also had the actual binocular locker key, which I though astonishing that they had that.
I went there during the fall of 2021 when I was living in Orlando. Very well done museum. It's worth the extra money to take the guided tour no matter how much of the history you know.
I was in Orlando Florida a few years ago and now I really hope I go back sometime because of this amazing museum One I have been to that's in America is the one in Tennessee I'm sure you've heard of it or maybe even been there but pretty much the whole thing is like replicas of hallways cabins and even the 1st class entrance staircase.
Years ago I went with my family to the Titanic exhibit at Memphis, TN when they started this kind of display. It was rather bare as no one had brought up much artifacts yet.
I went to that museum in March 2022. I nerded out on some of the staff too much to the embarrassment of my parents and brother. I saw that champaign bottle and when I found out about it was unopened, I was shocked. I've got to go back and check out the A deck promenade scene again.
I went to the Titanic exhibition in Bristol, UK a few months ago. It was amazing to be that close to the artifacts. The last time I went to a Titanic exhibition was when I was about ten years old and it still fascinates me and there's still new things I'm learning.
I went last Saturday to the museum. It was awesome. I plan to go back and di the dinner. I highly recommend it. Some of the actors answered a lot of questions that I have.. i touched the iceberg piece they have. There was a little memorial for Mr. Nergolet who died in the submersible visiting the Titanic.
I went there back in 2018 and I was so glad to found out it was there in florida by chance while visiting for the first time! I hope to go back again. Aswell as the many other titanic museums too! ❤
We must have just missed you. My friend and I just got back from Orlando and we were at that museum on Wednesday. Awesome experience and well worth the price of admission!!
The first time I went there with my family as a teenager I didn’t really know much about the titanic to the point that I didn’t realize that showing up on April 14, 2012 would be a really cool day at the museum. We saw a billboard for it on vacation and I INSISTED to my mom that we go. She was convinced I planned it when we got there and the guide mentioned the day
I was here a few weeks ago also. I have to echo some of the comments below to get the guided tour its very worth it. Also show up early as parking is very limited. The picture package is so worth it also! I was being stingy on this trip and still spent 200 bucks here!
I’ve been absent from UA-cam, as I have been busy. Australia is welcoming the Titanic Exhibition in early 2024. I’m really looking forward to seeing in the flesh historical artifacts from the actual Ship!! I wonder if Mr DiCaprio & Mrs Winslet have seen these exhibits?? I wonder if it’s possible if any original artifacts from Jack Dawson could have been retrieved, like maybe his pencils or his belt or something significant. It would be labeled as unknown, obviously. But just the thought it could be Jack’s!! Mr DiCaprio would appreciate it, since Mr DiCaprio portrayed him & so well for that matter. Mr DiCaprio should have won an Oscar for that performance. Especially the love making scenes between himself & Rose. I would have struggled & needed more than one pair of jocks to keep things at bay haha. I’m going to Melbourne for the exhibition, it should be a real eye opener. Thanks for sharing, as this has got me even more excited to go. Even more excited than the first time I brought Titanic on VHS & I could rewind back that portrait scene over & over & watch talented Mr DiCaprio working with his pencil. But love the video & Ill get my viewing in Melbourne 👍
Wow I wish I could have went with you that way if there was something there that I didn't know or understand I would not have to ask anyone I could just ask my favorite ship person and get a great detailed answer from the man sam. 😁
I visited Titanic Belfast and was disappointed. To begin with, they downplay the sinking saying she was all right when she left Belfast". However staying at the Titanic Hotel next door, which was the offices of Harland & Wolf, dining in the drafting room, and walking into Thomas Andrews' office was incredible.
#historictravels# you are so awesome my i love your videos i have a question for you do you think that guy who lives in Australia will ever get the titanic 2 ship built? They said they would build it but its not done what do you think? Heres lots of hearts for your UA-cam channel ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey sam I'm Matt I'm 38 I've been a fan of your UA-cam channel for 5 years now i mailed you some DVDs of shows i thought you'd like and a letter too i hope you'll unboxe them on your mail time segment when you get home from your trip and read my letter to. I hope you'll enjoy the DVDs and have a safe trip home i love how you do your videos i hope ee can do a Collab together sometime too hope you have a great weekend and a happy autumn too take care pece out. 🙂✌️👍🌜⭐✨🤟🌟🖖
3 blades, according to Mark Chirnside. The evidence from Harland & Wolff original documents seems to show that hull number 400 (Olympic) had a 4 blade central propeller with a diameter of 16'6", and hull number 401 (Titanic) had a 3 blade propeller with a diameter of 17'0".
@@Katoshi_Takagumi We don't know for a 100% certain and it's something that could be verified or refuted by carrying out a similar sonogram scan like the one that was used to find the buried iceberg damage to Titanic's bow, and the advances in technology since the bow scan was done should result in better imaging, so we should be able to discern things like, a four-bladed propeller that has a broken off blade versus an actual as cast three-bladed one. But it has to be done before it gets too dangerous to send in submersibles or ROVs under the overhanging stern or before it collapses and puts a bunch of debris in the way.
@@thomasackerman5399 True, we don't have photographic evidence, but we do have two primary sources of evidence. 'The mystery of Titanic's central propeller, and the 'Stephen Pigott evidence', if you go to Encyclopedia Titanica, there's also a 'dossier' on Mark Chirnside's Reception Room. In short, Harland & Wolff engineering notebook and Pigott's work at John Browne & Co confirm the use of the three blade propeller. Pigott was a turbine specialist who worked on the Olympic class liners. His notes include proposed propellers, both three and four bladed ones. It's feasible to think they wanted to test both propellers in practice and fit the two ships with different propellers to see which ones work better.

I consider this young gentleman named Sam the authority on everything Titanic related
I am far from the last word on things Titanic, I am constantly learning new things thanks to people like you. :)

I hope I get to visit this museum one day.

As someone mentioned the Vegas museum also has an unopened bottle, as well as “the big piece” i went in 2018 and couldn’t believe it ether!:)

I wound love to see a video or hear you're thoughts of if all 3 Olympic class sister ships survived and continued into the 1930's and beyond

Should do Titanic Belfast some time
I just saw this museum a few months back and it actually got me to start checking out UA-cam channels like yours!
The Branson museum is really cool too… it looks like the ship

I have recently seen both Titanic museums in Pigeon Forge and Branson and am planning a visit to Orlando in November
Love your channel Sam keep up the good work mate hello from Lancashire England
I think you Sam should go to the Titanic museum in Las Vegas in future because that museum is awesome as well
I have ordered the Cobi titanic as well Sam!
To me, that A deck promenade, that exact spot on the starboard side, is the spookiest spot on the whole ship.
So cool. Love anything to do with the Titanic. Stunning seeing that champagne bottle, wow! So awesome. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I went the other week, Truly an awesome museum!
You should visit the one in pigeon forge truly remarkable 👏

Hi Sam I want to visit the Florida titanic museum first I really want to visit the pigeon Forge, Tennessee Titanic museum.

They need remake the Titanic but without the love story just the story of how it was built, sank, and how people lived afterwards.
Cool . I am going to one in Belfast in October.

I live in central Florida and have been there several times.
Very nice. Are you going to have a livestream on Sunday,?
Sam, have you been to the one in Pigeon Forge, TN? Thoughts if so?
Hey Sam, the Queen Mary is open.
What are the odds, I actually just watched the video of when you first toured this last night.
Do you plan on going to the belfast museum at any point. I know it would be quite the effort flying across the Atlantic though (or maybe on the qm2!)

Belfast also has SS Nomadic, one of Titanic's tenders.
LETS GO I LIVE 2 MINUTES AWAY
Have you ever been to the titanic museum in pigeon forge in Tennessee? Any thoughts on it
Another great watch. I'm surprised that the water pressure didn't push the cork into the bottle, were the bottles found floating on the surface???
nope, they were at the wreck
Thanks for info, that's pretty amazing. Have a great day, time to clean the BBQ.....@@HistoricTravels

I live in orlando
How much does it cost? Jw
A Titanic Exhibition is coming to Washington DC (National Harbor) in October, but hurry as tickets are selling fast
Can your next live stream be you and your fans playing the Roblox game Poseidon adventure by Yousiur
Have you ever checked to see the ice bergs around the ship and why the passengers couldn't have been ferried to them?
Um he made a video like that and that would never in a million years work.
I thought Titanic's central propeller was 4 bladed, I still think its 3

0M🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂😂
Have you been to the Titanic Historical Museum in Las Vegas? If yes, which one do you think is better (Las Vegas or Orlando)?
