But nothing compares to the sinking of the SS Andrea Doria. I just hope nobody who survived that uses their story of that tragedy to secure an apartment.

We did this in October 23, it was surprisingly a very emotional experience especially touching a piece of the ship.
It’s quite surreal to know that on every photograph or video clip of the Titanic that you’ve ever seen during your life, the piece you can touch, the piece you have touched is there. It’s been on a journey through time, it’s been present at the launch, at the beginning of that fateful journey, it was shaken by the iceberg and it sank to the bottom of the ocean and now you can actually touch it!
Quite emotional for anyone who’s had a fascination for the Titanic since being a child

Fellow Titanic girlie here, more so of the ship than the movie, but LOVED the "please insert tape 2." Another beautifully-done video. Future cruise idea: perhaps a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary 2?

It’s amazing you guys got to finally see this exhibit. As much as many of us love the movie, it’s harrowing to see the real artifacts and learn all the details of this horrid tragedy. I did the exhibit that was in NYC a while back and I was definitely emotionally exhausted and humbled by the end of it all.

I work at the museum in Hershey, Pennsylvania that holds the receipt for Milton S. Hershey (and his wife)'s cancelled ticket for the Titanic after they had to reschedule their return from Europe. Thinking about everything he did with his life and legacy after that trip - especially as a fellow "Titanic Girlie" - is sobering.
I used to have a piece of "Titanic coal" that I would just hold sometimes in its little baggie but it sadly got lost in a move years ago.

I went to Belfast couple of years ago and visited the museum. It was touching and humbling and there was so much to learn. It drags you into the story of how the ship was built, who the passengers were, how life was back then. It doesn't leave you unbothered.

When you mentioned the game, I had major flashbacks of playing it when I was 13! I was OBSESSED with everything Titanic. I even made binders full of articles about the ship and the movie. I recorded anything Titanic related on TV onto VHS, including the Academy Awards the year it won all the awards, and watched it all over and over. I guess I was a bit extreme back then, lol. I did recently visit the exhibit in Pigeon Forge. It was amazing! I will for sure check out the one in Orlando next year! Thanks for the video!

So glad you got to experience this. My husband and I saw the exhibit in 1998 in Boston right after they brought up the original huge piece of the hull. They had it in a tented area outside from the exhibit building. The security wasn't totally set up yet and no one was looking ...so ... I reached over and touched the original huge piece of the hull. I'll never forget it. I too am a Titanic girlie. Have a lovely evening. Blessings - Judith 🎤🎭

Guys, thank you for sharing this. I absolutely HAVE to see this in person. I love all things Titanic, probably quite an obsessed fan, embarrassingly so! Glad someone else out there can quote the JC film. I love the Irish history and of course the modern marvel aspect to Titanic. My friends and I went to the theater again and again, paying our 8.00 feature film ticket price in 1997 to see Jack and Rose light up the big screen and bring Titanic back from the depths of the Atlantic ❤ To see these artifacts in person would be amazing 😻

I've been a 'Titanic girly' almost all my life. Long before the Titanic's final resting place was discovered in 1985, I had worn out my copy of "A Night to Remember" by Walter Lord. I was fascinated by the Titanic story but humbled by what had happened that night in 1912. I had a chance to see the Titanic Exhibition when it came to Seattle in 2001. At that time, the piece of the hull in the exhibition was a larger one, and you were allowed to touch it. It was a sobering experience. Seeing all the artifacts that had been recovered at the time was wrenching. I'm glad you were able to go and would love to see more of these types of videos anytime.

Some kids liked rocks, some kids liked bugs. Growing up, my thing was that I was obsessed with learning everything I could about the Titanic (just the ship, specifically NOT the movie😂). To watch my favorite UA-camrs (who always do their research and are so knowledgeable) explore a Titanic exhibit was the Christmas gift I didn't know I needed! This video was awesome.

Sorry, for the long post, but I'm a Titanic geek as well. I love the Titanic and the story behind her and her crew and passengers, as much as Molly does. I have remodeled part of my basement as almost a small exhibit. Models of the Titanic, the wreck, self-made diorama's, several pieces of coal, actual wood from a door frame, wood from Lifeboat #12, small swatch of the green felt from the 1st Class Smoking room, as well as autographs of no less than 8 survivors, including a few "pre-disaster" sig's from individuals that didn't survive, including Capt. E.J. Smith and Thomas Andrews, and finally, 3 small pieces of the "The Big Piece" of Titanic hull, that broke off when the two pieces were separated and the larger one in Vegas was moved. These fell off of it and were collected. I also have recordings of her whistle being blown in Southampton, the C.Q.D. and S.O.S. distress calls, like what you heard, as well as the sound made by the distress rockets being shot of and exploding high above the foundering ship. Truly, a moving experience on any level. Orlando exhibit is wonderful, but check out the ones in Pigeon Forge, Branson Mo, and Las Vegas. They are also opening up a new, traveling exhibit with artifacts from both Orlando and Las Vegas called " TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition" opening at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, Ohio on March 9, 2024.

Wonderful video!! I would definitely love to see more Orlando local attractions.
I wasn’t a Titanic Girly in sense of the movie but it did spark my interest as a child about the ship and the disaster that is still with me as an adult. I think it was more of how the world came together after such a disaster, and really is hopeful of how we as a people can band together in the face of such.
I think too as I got older and founded out more with scientists and historians of just how technologically advanced the Titanic was. She still stayed afloat much longer than any other ship up till that time.
Btw Las Vegas, NV has a really nice permanent Titanic Exhibit that looks to be a blend of Orlando and Cali’s exhibits. It has both the multitude of artifacts and from what I remember great displays of the rooms as well.

Theres a large theme park (Silver Dollar City) and a nice Titanic museum, as well as many other attractions (aquarium, wax museum, Ripley's museum, restaurants, kids stuff, etc)! Blair, from Dundee, Scotland, served as the Titanic's original second officer, but was replaced at the last minute and left the ship in Southampton, saving his life. In his haste to disembark, however, he forgot to leave a key which was needed in the crow's nest to access binoculars and a telescope. It's good that they include that little snippet in the film.

Titanic Belfast Centre, Titanic Hotel, Walking Tours, Thompson Dock & Pump House and the SS Nomadic. I went to the amazing Titanic exhibit at the Luxor in Las Vegas and it has a much larger piece of the hull which had more portholes with one even having a broken piece of glass still in it. It took my breath away the second I walked in the room. The rest of the exhibit was pretty exactly the same as this one. I lived in California at the time and I didn’t even bother going to that exhibit. I knew the Vegas one was much more engaging and had more artifacts including the big piece. Another stunning artifact was some stacks of plates, arranged as they were found at the bottom of the ocean. Anyway thanks it was cool to see what another exhibit had to offer. I still think the Luxor hotel exhibit is a bit better than this one

Love Alan’s face when Molly goes off on movie memories 😂 Just wait till you guys go to the Titanic Museum and Exhibition in Belfast. It was breathtaking and eye opening. You could probably drop her off in the morning and pick her up in the evening and she will be stuck in movie quote mode hehe

I had an older man that survived the Titanic who lived next to my route. I got to talk to him a few times. He was a very little boy and the last thing he remembered was his father picking him up and sitting him on a ledge. His aunts raised him as his parents didn’t make it. He always wanted to go back to England but he never made it.

Went to the Titanic museum in Branson Missouri (the one shaped like the front half of the ship). It was an audio tour but same situation with a passenger card and such to check out later to see if they survived. But regarding the iceberg experience you had, in Branson they had water cooled to the temp that the ocean water was that night... And you could stick your hand in it to try and leave it for as long as you can. SECONDS felt like hours it was so cold. Just added one more layer of understanding. Crazy.

This exhibit came to Minneapolis a few years ago and it was such a crazy experience. I’m a huge titanic girlie, so anytime there’s a chance to see something related to it, I have to see it. My friend Jake too. He’s actually done the dinner party experience and said it was really neat. He’s also writing a novel set on the ship sooooo. 😂I feel like he would get along with Molly very well

Thanks for including more non-park content. Even though I doubt I'll ever be able to make it here, I really enjoy these videos from you guys. My in-laws have scheduled a 2-week visit to Orlando at the end of the year but don't plan on being at WDW or Universal much. Places like this will be a good recommendation for them when they're in town. Thanks!

My better half is the Granddaughter of one of the last White Star line Captains. By the time he was a Captain the White Star Line had become a subsidiary of the Cunard line ( 30’s) and was purely a merchant line. We visited the Titanic exhibition on Idrive a good few years ago and found it fascinating.

If you are ever in the UK, visit the Titanic museum in Belfast where the ship was built. It’s brilliant.
