These are my musical observations from a 30 year US legal career arise from my college explorations into the psycho-dramatic ethos of Central and South American dictators in the 40's - 80's. I was fascinated by horrible tyrants that lied to the public, overthrew democracies and then committed traumatic atrocities on their own angry people, bankrolled by the US taxpayers. I cheered when Democrat Jimmy Carter withdrew that support for those dictators and changed US foreign policy. I wept with the public support for Reagan's Republican Iran-Contra hostage US election interference strategy, and subsequent right wing guerrilla warfare in 80's Sandinista Nicaragua and El Salvador where 100,000's were killed. And those wars had horrible anti-democratic consequences that, even today, neither country can escape, thanks to the US involvement.
I wrote this rock opera to connect with others, especially lawyers, who see anti- democracy and pro-democracy dynamics in our leaders, and wonder why so many US Citizens side with anti-democracy leaders. We see a deeper pattern of lies, disinformation and demonization occurring in our battle for democracy. The same pattern of disinformation and demonization that our ancestors faced, and that seeks to dominate others. It leads to well known atrocities, like the mass insurrection of January 6, 2021. And this pattern of violence, born of flawed human personality preferences that influence organization strategies in others, is completely predictable. Dictator for a Day.

Mercenary's Paradise shows the lure of the big money, anti democratic lobby gigs, and the authoritarian legal deals that are corrupted by massive foreign payoffs. I''m Gonna Run looks at the radical and angry Trump strategy to lie loudly and the propaganda networks are paid to amplify that message. Sad how well it works, getting people to come together to support a Dictator. Finally, Demonic Dominating Leader spans the archetypal ancestral psychology of modern malignant narcissist dictators who seek to dominate everybody for their own gain. We see the cult-forming Pavlovian tactics of indoctrination by firehosing demonizing lies to confuse and distract their true victims: their followers.
