Thank you. I tried several other tutorials and couldn't get on with them and then came across this one which is perfect. I have made them and attached to bands to go around plant pots. They look fab.

she’s referring to it in UK terms! in the US, what she’s doing is a double crochet
Whatever these sweet little things are, they are not snowflakes. Maybe it does not really matter, but all snowflakes have six points.
Except quasi-crystals so you can pretend it's one of those. Seriously though, this is art, it doesn't have to have 6 points!
