🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on UA-cam yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

These little stars are perfect I think as a garland for my Christmas tree! Thank you, Robin, for sharing this little beauty with us! You’re tops! 💕🤗💕
That sounds an amazing idea! 😃🎄
I was thinking exactly the same thing! x
If u can fucking make them 🙄
These are so adorable and cute as a button!! I haven't been able to crochet much this year due to health reasons but I can definitely do some of these stars since it's such a short and quick project! I'll use them to decorate my gift tags this year!! ❤🎁
I found that if you make a picot at the tips of the stars, they make nicer points.
Example: Magic circle, single crochet, double crochet, chain 2, make picot, double crochet, single crochet and so on.
How do you make a picot?
@@heleninderrieden4170 There are tutorials on that subject in youtube.
It's so cuuuuute! I could see making a whole garland with these little guys in pastel colors. Absolutely adorable ❤
I don't know which I prefer more, your super speedy star lesson our your fantastic accent!! Live this little snippet
These little stars are adorable. You could add these as an appliqué on many things. Thank you for sharing. 💜
Just made this! First try didn’t end so well but then the second try I mastered it! Thanks so so much Robin! These are truly amazing!
It does sometimes take practice but I’m glad you managed it.😃
@@HookedbyRobin yah I’ve already made 4 of them! 1 failed and the other three turned out amazing! Do you think you could make a tutorial on how to make an easy teddy bear? I’m still new so if you do make a vid on it it would rlly help! Thx so much! And good night from South Africa!
This was sooooo easy and I even made 3 other stars without watching the video.Soooo easy and thank you
You’re so welcome!😃
Very cool! I might experiment with making larger stars with more points. In the Bahai faith, 9 pointed stars are meaningful; there's a holy day coming up and I would love to give out some 9 pointed crocheted stars
I love these. I think I will make some up for my grandson's christmas shop at school. Attach each star to gift tags and leave a few so if the kids want to hang them on their tree.
That is a wonderful idea!😃🎄
Lovely little stars. My great granddaughter will love these in her hair or a fairy garden garland for her room. Thank you. I appreciate the time you take to teach those of us who have forgotten the “how-to” of fun projects.
That is lovely Kathie, I’m so pleased you like the video - they are so fun to make.😃🧶
Love these!! So quick and easy and cute!!! I'm going to make several, I think as adornments for packages and who knows what else! Thank you so much!!
These are AWESOME. Great way to use up odds and ends. These are going to come in handy to pass out to the kids at work. Thank you!
Just made one and sewed it onto a hat I made ♡ love how easy your instructions are
Going to make a ton of them. Robin, I just love you and your tutorials. Always the best on UA-cam.
I can now crochet the star🌟and the heart❤. Thank you Robin!
You’re so welcome!😃🤗
Aww! They’re so cute! 🥰 I’m thinking about making a garland for the Christmas tree ☺️ Thank you!
I have watch several magic ring tutorials and they never clicked but watching you do it in this video it was like OH! That's easy and I have been making a ton of these little stars and other things. Thanks!
Your tutorials are by far the clearest and best explained. Thanks a lot!
Awwh, thank you so much Mari!😃🤗
I think that too
The perfect topper to my silly Christmas tree hat!
Absolutely!😃🎄
Too cute…I will use these mostly on Christmas gifts as decoration and pop them in here and there with garlands and the such…thanks robin…happy holidays
On little gift tags or wrapping would be adorable!
You said you wanted to know what we're doing with these things. So I've started making them, and I put it on my Facebook to ask if any of my family friends knew of a good group to give them to maybe a nursing home. So my elementary school principal and his wife, (let me add that I'm in my late 30s now 😂), she told me that they give "love bags" so to say, with their church at the holidays. So that's what I'm up to. 70 in full, and so far I have 6, but you are right and these work up very quickly. Thank you for posting it it's a great gift to be able to offer in an instance like this. Much love & light to you and yours. 💕
How wonder Jessi! Thank you so much for sharing that with me.😃🥰
Shall make some of these to attach to gift tags to say "Your A Star" these will be attached for bundles of Wallaby/Kangaroo pouches and bags that I sew are sent to help our wild life carers here in Australia

That is very organised, I love that!😃🎄
Oh my goodness, what a wonderful way to tie quilts. I used to use buttons but they are a swallow hazard. You are the best! Thank you.
What does "tie quilts" mean? I'm interested in quilting but I don't think I've heard this term!
@@idlewildwind when you assemble a quilt you need to stabilize three layers. Bottom layer, middle layer (batting), top layer pieced. This can be done a couple of ways. Mainly it's sewing the layers together. This can be accomplished with a sewing machine, or by hand. If you do it by hand you can sew patterns like you could with a sewing machine or you can tie the quilt. Tying the quilt is a process of taking usually a larger thread using a needle insert it from top of the quilt to the bottom and then about a 1/4 inch away return it to the top and tie the 2 ends together. Using the star I would needle the ends to the back of the quilt and tie them together. Leaving the star on the top as a decoration.
That sounds adorable! I've always fancied trying my hand at quilting but am useless with a sewing machine 😆
@@kathyberlincourt4542 That sounds absolutely fabulous!
Robin to the rescue! What a perfect crafting idea for me to do while my broken toe mends 😉 Thanks Robin! 😀
