Hello Tim, well done video! FYI, when it comes to designing the actual Bible, I begin by sketching everything on paper. I have a bunch of designs that never make it past sketches, but it's a good way to exercise my creativity. Once I narrow it down to one design, for a specific translation, I work with a friend of mine, Jonathan Dumar, to create the design in Adobe InDesign. Once the design is complete we send it off to be typeset by a professional typesetter. It's a fun process! :)

I was wondering if the color of the words of Christ in blue is a different shade of blue on different versions? I LOVE these Bibles!!!❤😊
I really like Humble Lamb's bright yellow Bible, plus the little illustrations they include in there. I think they're also the ones that have the picture revealed on the side of the pages, just like an old school book, no one really does that anymore. Just overall I just like Humble Lamb.
This feat is a testament to not only their marketing prowess, but it also speaks volumes to the fact that premium Bible owners want more innovation from their premiums.
P.S. to Humble Lamb if you're reading this... I'm still waiting for a black under red art gilt!

I thought HL had produced the Bibles and wanted to buy the orange one but couldn’t work out what kickstarter was. So the Bibles don’t exist yet? Tim! Love your work. Would you consider doing a small series about the Bible itself. For example, a short 10 min documentary on like “how the Geneva Bible came to be” or “how the KJV Bible was written” just more positive Bible videos more than just reviews? Please consider it! It’d be of great value. You’re a brilliant broadcaster. Truly.

This looks to be a nice bible. Unfortunately the font is too small for my old eyes haha. I have their Yellow in the NKJV Shepherd's bible. It's a lovely looking bible but the goatskin is so stiff and has a really strong chemical smell. I was so excite to receive it but because of those reasons I ended up giving it to my husband to use.

thats what i have been saying not hating on the red letters for Crists word just that i have eye problems so i cant read red letter bibles and im happy to hear that they are making them twoo thumbs up on that idea

Tim , they have one of the NASB 2020 History , there is a late Edition of this Bible called London Red , it is sold out , this might be in this group that maybe their biggest seller of this Bible , I hope in time to get one of those some day . this Comment posted on April 2 2024 .

I've been wanting to get a Humble Lamb bible for quite sometime...but unless they release an NASB in a verse by Verse format.. I do not think in good conscience I could buy one... I am Not sure if their KJV the only other one I would possibly buy is like that.. but if it is NOT available.. in the Shepherd design for the KJV... even if it is verse by verse.. I am not sure I would want it...
any Bible that I shell out that kind of money for better be one I cannot live without.... so far the Humble Lamb as beautiful as it appears.. is one I CAN live without... please update me if my observations regarding text or design is wrong... thanks..

I'm curious how they'll handle some of Doré's illustrations. He has some lovely art of Judith and Tobit, for instance, but the NASB doesn't include those books. Do you think they'll leave those illustrations out, or maybe just stack all the Deuterocanonical illuatrations in a row between the Testaments?

I did find it strange that a group who stuck to the KJV and NKJV introduces a new format in the 2020 NASB. I would have expected (and preferred) the 1995 NASB and not a jump to the gender altered updated edition.

I WANTED to love this, but I can't. I even asked HL if they could produce a bible with all of GD's engravings over a year ago - and they've done that! But the 2020 NASB choice is a deal killer. I just can't. I can't. SO disappointing. I also think the hub placement / spine layout are awful aesthetically. If this were the 95, I could deal with the hubs and I'd be all over this. A '77 would be neat too. But of all the translations out there, they had to pick a kinda controversial and polarizing one? Really? I just can't.
The drop caps are awesome. The GD engravings are awesome. And I'm going to miss out on this. I'm HOPING that if I'm patient enough, HL will come out with something similar in a BETTER translation. (This is from a guy with 2 HL bibles BTW. Not here to rag on them, but really disappointed in these choices.) NEAT drop caps and GD engravings. The blue's gotten a little too light for my taste, but whatev.

My understanding is that Humble Lamb plans to also do ESV and NLT versions in the future.

Yes, I was disappointed at first when they announced the version that they are using. The NASB 2020 is not my preferred version either. (I am still ordering one for myself, because it is still the Bible and I do like to use multiple versions, but, yes, I would have preferred the 95) The good news is that they plan to offer other versions in the future. AND, Humble Lamb listens to their customers and have made improvements with every new Bible. I am sure that there will be one that you would love coming out in the future.

I could not back them on this project because: 1) their using the 2020 CSB translation; 2) putting emphasis on “story. This is a Bible - please don’t call it a story! 3), lastly, the art gilt and the colors and the small font. It’s obvious that Daniel et al appears to be targeting the younger crowd, and that’s okay; but I’m old and conservative, so this Bible just misses the mark.
2020 NASB, not 2020 CSB
The very reason I've decided against anything to do with Humble Lamb. Between the love of money and changing God's Pure Word for profit and marketing, I would rather not be associated, whatsoever.
The King James is the Word of God.
They have the KJV! I have a copy and it is fantastic! It is called the Lion! and has a lion on the fore edge design!
