- I had the opportunity to follow Renault to Spain where I was able to drive the brand new model Renault Scenic E-Tech for the first time. In this video, I tell you what I like about it, talk about the interior and the system and give you my first verdict of the car.
If you prefer to watch my content in Swedish, make sure to follow Elbilsmagasinet on UA-cam as well!

Thanks for this review of the Scenic. Excellent interior space front and back. Thanks also for showing the tow hitch. We had 4 adults in this car for a test drive a few days ago, your height or taller and headroom and legroom was very comfortable. Renault have done a really good job with this car. A car for Europe.
You hear wind noise more because hey, youve not got an engine noise that muffles it. You should read the handbook, because you can adjust the wheel sensitivity. Does it have a pedal kickdown that normal engine auto cars have, so it then drops down the gears to accelerate quickly.
Renault deserves all the praise. They went from designing ugly cars to now making premium vehicles. I would take this over an Audi Q-tron or a BMW iX3. Stunning cockpit.
Shortcut configurable safety button is brilliant! My kind of car.
Sure would be nice to hear subjective thoughts compared to the EX30 since you have some experience with that. This car seems bigger, and more family oriented to me.
Yeah, the EX30 is more compared with Renaualt Megane E-tech, which I’ e made a comparison video about. Should be released some time next week maybe :)
Good Review!
Verry intresting in this car and hope its better than Tesla model Y.
Keepin the hopes up but that charging speed is already a let down in 2024
You mentioned the brakes in 1st car.. Were the other vehicles drove better in braking
Name one Renault that used to get 80-130 in that time. Come try that on my Toyota 1.8L C-HR hybrid. I would still be accelerating
Haha fair! You quickly get spoiled when driving many other EVs :)
Good video. Was the “red” showing on the infotainment system earlier in the drive just a camera issue OR a speeding indication?
Just showing on the camera, nothing in real life
@@theelectriccarmagazine thank you for the clarification. Have a great day
Great video, Christoffer! How did the panorama roof work during your test drive?
Worked great. Realized that I missed it completely during editing but had no issues with it during the testing days :)
Please make people aware that the biggest difference with the Alpine is the seats. Way way better
If it can go from 10-80% in 30 minutes then it's adding about 440 km (273 miles) of range in that time. That's excellent.
On a long journey of say 400miles, you'd stop for a half hour break anyway, so recharge is fine. Prob in UK is we still don't have lots of charging areas & at home street parking charging is gonna be a big problem still to address. Ive got a driveway luckily.
@@seltaeb9691 the UK has an enormous number of chargers. The reality is they are very much underutilised
I like it but they have copied Peugeot a bit
Actually, it has been designed by the former Peugeot's Head of design, Gilles Vidal. That's why you get this resemblance feeling.
I have driven this car today. Beautiful car but terrible chairs. Furthermore is has poor regenerative response, poor safety features and poor quality rear camera. Definitely a NO for me.
I drove it today & loved it. Seats are great & seat htg is very soothing on my bad back. Renault have the highest safety stars, air bags everywhere & usual crash crumpling safety areas. The Techno has a rear view camera & the rearview mirror is normal but not a fan of auto dimming. Manual choice is best. But choose what suits you. This rings all my bells.
I’m assuming you didn’t drive the Alpine spec? The low spec and the highest spec Iconic seats are awful but the sports seats in the Alpine way better. The wheels are nicer on the Alpine too. Iv ordered one
