    Closed Ntwrk: www.closedntwrk.com/episode-1...
In the podcast, The Hated One and Closed Ntwrk discuss privacy, security, surveillance and decentralization. Our first debate quickly spirals into a discussion on how we take back the Internet and build a resilient decentralized infrastructure that is not dependent on any central point of failure.
The Hated One proposes how Briar, Cwtch and other peer-to-peer solutions could re-decentralized the Internet as it was intended back in the 1990s. Closed Ntwrks talks extensively about how self-hosting is a lot easier and more useful solution for privacy, security and information freedom issues than is commonly understood.
Towards the end of the podcast, we encourage people to get involved in helping open source projects grow, maintain and and expand. Likewise, communities should engage in activism and political movements to force bad legislation out and invite good legislation that promotes Internet freedom and privacy.
At the end of the podcast, we also share our mobile privacy setups and how we believe GrapheneOS is the most important security project of our time.
This podcast collaboration between The Hated One and Closed Ntwrk could be the beginning of a beautiful series on the most important topics of the Internet age.

would appreciate shorter content. 3 hour long podcast could be broken into 30 minute chunks as part 1, part 2… this helps fit it into busy people’s schedules. i would lose my spot as alistener and it would help listeners dwell on / digest topics before moving on.

A possible Answer, to the "Privacy what are you trying to hide" is to say "its what i am trying to protect against" The unknown of the future, almost all good people can be forced to do bad things and these people can be in very important roles.... so protecting against an unknown future where minimizing outside coercion is the goal .

I like the talk about GraphineOS and i am curious about it. What's stopping me is that in Sweden, where i come from, we have an Identification application we use for e.g banking called "BankID". The issue here is that they ONLY seem to allow this app on Iphones and Androids - which is what i have heard, NOT a fact.
They have had support for Linux before, but sadly not anymore. Not sure if this is because they have written a contract or something or because simply not enough users use Linux. Now... I am aware that Android is based on Linux, or Unix. However, i am not skilled enough to know if it still would work :P so yap... Otherwise i would go hardcore GraphineOS!

    • @TheHatedOne
      @TheHatedOne  2 роки тому +1

Try it first. If it doesn't work, try to install Google Play Services on GrapheneOS. Then try the BankID app again. It should work. GrapheneOS is fully compatible with Android apps. If it still doesn't work for some reason, then reinstall stock Android (GrapheneOS has a guide for this on their website)

There is a possibility that Google wants you to stop content that hurt them, without directly blocking your channel. Throttling new video notifications and not suggesting your videos to views are two ways to do it, but also reducing your efforts rewards in other ways is probable.

Well i think we lost and are unable to do anything about it for one simple economic reason which are natural monopoly´s i would think social media is absolutely. They have the same underlying problems as i see it like for example public transit whit this two effects where utility is increasing for social media platforms while also becoming more cost effective over the economy of scale. In theory as someone more libertarian i really also don´t like the conclusion but they need to be regulated or even nationalized as it seems from my rather basic economic understanding that nobody is able to compete whit those companies after consolidation. While on top also there is just a huge bunch other anti competitive measures, for example i seen YT delete comments which mention competition.
I also think i never hear anybody ever talk about this but this seems to be 100-200 years old stuff we should know from Railways.

I like and believe in this idea, but I think you give normal people too much credit.
Yes, things being complicated will turn normal people off, I just don't think that's the only problem.
The prevalence of what's app proves that most people don't even want what's best for them, they are perfectly happy to allow anyone to upload anything they want to their device and they don't care who has access to their phone number.
As long as it works (and it doesn't even have to be as good as it's competitors, think myspace vs facebook) branding is more important than anything else. The trick is not making it good but making it fashionable.
If you can find the right person though with the right sales idea, you can exploit one of societies greatest flaws to it's advantage. If most people do the right thing even for the wrong reason, the world is still a better place for it.
