Why did this get so many likes?
@@awesomesauce5166 wow, and I scrolled to the bottom thinking I would have the patience to read this lol, nice world record!
I used to have 50,000 posts on a fucking really weird, small, Futurama forum. There were only about 50 posters on the entire board.
For some reason I literally roleplayed as Kif (the frog who was a slave to Zapp Brannigan) in every single fucking post. I remember that the other posters would say things like ‘post your penis again for me Kif’ with a picture of Zapp and I would do it (after using photoshop to make my dick green).
I was basically a fucking sex slave for 50,000 posts. I remember on one occasion a girl came onto the board and I really liked her, but instead of talking to her like a normal human I tried to pick her up by writing an extensive, 1200 word post describing the backrub I gave to Zapp Brannigan.
I hate that part of my life almost as bad as I hate this current one.

If you bare through it, this is actually a pretty good story on how people like this aren't necessarily bad people, they're just socially awkward, and sometimes normal people can be the real assholes. I liked that, good job
Yeah, the "redditor cringe" is just trying to cope with his social awkwardness by using what he view as funny and to convey that emotion he has to others. As much cringe it is, he is honest.
Yeah true…sometimes.
Yeah, this character was actually a pretty nice guy (not Nice Guy™)
Sure he's a bit weird but for some people that's just charming
Sometimes?
It's most times.
People who just do things instinctually never get to comprehend certain things that are automatic to them, so when a peculiar situation develops, they're helpless and end up retreating into saying unempathetic stuff like "just go for a walk, you will feel better" or "just be less weird".
Meanwhile people who needed to develop social skills through hardship are more aware of other people's emotions.
It's just a snipit, I'm not talking about the characters in this video, as I didn't watch it whole.

These characters are amazing. My first impression really was that the Redditor was going to be the 'bad guy' in the story, with the camera-man being the straight-man. But the moment the cameraguy said 'I like Britney' it really becomes clear that he set it all up just so he could have a better shot with her. And then he just devolves into this salty bastard while the Redditor and Britney actually start enjoying themselves and getting comfortable. Honestly, it's a real work of art.
Honestly this character shows a lot of similarity with Michael Scott. The constant use of references to inject humor into the situation, the awkward nature in how he does things, and even the fact that he looks at the camera like he’s the protagonist breaking the 4th wall. It’s all so entertaining to watch and makes perfect sense when it comes to the girl liking him, he doesn’t care what others think of him, so long as him and the people he cares about are happy. I really liked the story in this video.
Oh my god he would be a Redditor 😭

I like that this started off as a mockumentary/exaggeration of a socially awkward redditor, but then slowly turned into a statement about how even people like this can and should sometimes be appreciated for who they are, as long as what they say and do is inoffensive. And then it was revealed his friend was the real problem, setting the date up in hopes it backfires to then give himself the upper hand and chance at getting in with the girl. Essentially using him, preying on the fact that he's different. But it backfiring was such a turn of events and the bitterness of the friend was really well acted and a great payoff
