Hard Reset Nest Connect

How to troubleshoot or setup starting with a hard reset a Google Nest Connect range extender to factory default settings if it is not working or not connecting or if it is frozen or not responding, the factory reset is a good troubleshooting step. You can also restore the factory settings to setup your device as new. Found in the Nest Connect user manual.

Would be helpful if your video showed the process. Explained if it needs to be plugged in or not as well as how long to hold the button down. What if it doesn't work?

I just got a new Nest Connect to replace the Nest Secure but I cannot get it to connect to my Nest network. At first it was trying to complete setup to my Nest doorbell and then never worked so I removed the doorbell from my Nest system then it tried to use my Nest Protect and that doesn't work. It fails when trying to use the other device to set itself up. Any ideas on how to get this to work? I need this to replace the Nest Secure because now I have no access to my Yale Locks to be able to change passwords or setup new users and I need this ability.
